This European larks not all its cracked up to be. Rules for European ties stipulate there shall be no alcohol served in the ground on matchday. This includes Delilahs Bar before the game. Outrageous, this is Stoke, we need beer

Stupid idea this is. Surely people (me) will just turn up absolutely shitfaced? I know they can turn you away if you've been drinking but that must also cause problems. I don't know many people who drink more than two pints/bottles at the game anyway; normally it's one before and one at half time.

Agreed, beer in the ground, especially at away games, is usually just a top up. I tend to get into away grounds, a bit worse for wear, and gradually sober up thinking 'I can't see a fucking thing'
