Stupid idea this is. Surely people (me) will just turn up absolutely shitfaced? I know they can turn you away if you've been drinking but that must also cause problems. I don't know many people who drink more than two pints/bottles at the game anyway; normally it's one before and one at half time.

Agreed, beer in the ground, especially at away games, is usually just a top up. I tend to get into away grounds, a bit worse for wear, and gradually sober up thinking 'I can't see a fucking thing' |
