It also means that England could face France, Northern Ireland and Scotland will need a big stroke of luck not to face two monster teams - at least - and that Wales are so likely to find themselves in some sort of group of death that boss Gary Speed may as well book his 2014 summer holiday break now.

A reminder, then, that the 53 European countries will be drawn into nine qualification groups - all made up of six teams apart from one of five teams. The countries have been split into six seeded pots with one team from each pot drawn into each group. The nine group winners will qualify automatically. The eight best group runners-up will contest play-offs for the four remaining places

Thing is, if we slightly mess up we can finish 2nd and may have to play France or Spain.
Although England are fucking awesome at qualifying for World Cups so it should be okay.

Ukraine and Poland are decent sides but beatable, quite a good draw for England.
Croatia v Serbia could be interesting. There is a possibility of France or Spain failing to qualify. Scotland are probably screwed.

Some rate interesting groups; but also some shit groups to say the least.
Group I: Spain, France, Belarus, Georgia, Finland - Poor group because it's pretty clear who will go through.
Group H: ENGLAND, Montenegro, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, San Marino - What SRF said; but for the neutral a good group
Group G: Greece, Slovakia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lithuania, Latvia, Lichtenstein - Worst group out of the lot; no team of a high standard.
Group F: Portugal, Russia, Israel, NORTHERN IRELAND, Azerbaijan, Luxembourg - Poor group.
Group E: Norway, Slovenia, Switzerland, Albania, Cyprus, Iceland. - Once again another poor group; but I think every team in that group would be happy with it.
Group D: Netherlands, Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Estonia, Andorra. - Poor group Turkey/Romania finish 2nd
Group C: Germamy, Sweden, Republic of Ireland, Austria, Faroe Islands, Kazakhstan. - Very interesting group. The battle between Sweden and Ireland for me is one to keep an eye on
Group B: Italy, Denmark, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Armenia, Malta. - Think 2nd place is well up for grabs in this one
Group A: Croatia, Serbia, Belgium, SCOTLAND, Macedonia, WALES - No big countries but I think the first 4 have a great chance to qualify
