Hughes's press conference:
MH on Hull game: We didn't hit the levels we thought we would. Given the circumstances of the game we would have liked to have created more.
MH: We need to start off strongly, that is key for us. It is still early days and a lot of the guys are at different levels [HASH]scfc
MH: We want to get back to the levels we displayed at the end of last season, because we aren't near those levels yet [HASH]scfc
MH: We won't take the game lightly because Portsmouth will come here with nothing to lose. They have started the season well [HASH]scfc
MH: Bojan has a knock. He didn't train today so we will check him tomorrow. It was my intention to start him but we will see [HASH]scfc
MH: Phil Bardsley has a bang on his knee, but apart from that everybody else is available [HASH]scfc
MH: We would love to experience a cup final here. Our intentions are to go as far as we can [HASH]scfc
He also mentioned about a youngster being in the squad, could be Shenton or Ward.
I reckon we'll go with, not that I agree with it:
Butland; Cameron, Huth, Shawcross, Muniesa; Palacios, Whelan; Walters, Adam, Arnautovic; Crouch.
But I'd go with Diouf upfront, all the lad needs is a goal IMO.

Bojan apparently got a bang on his ribs so hopefully not too bad and it does sound like he's definitely got a chance of making it for tomorrow. Shenton was my thought for the youngster, too. Sounds like it would be someone to come off the bench if the game is going well.
Thought he would really rotate but it does sound like he's going to go for a really strong side.

Let's railroad the cunts and get our confidence back up. I was thinking the same but then remembered it's Stoke so we'll make it as difficult as possible for ourselves tomorrow.

Be good for the new faces to get a game and maybe a goal. Don't hold any hope for Saturday, just because their home record is formidable. Fingers xed for Bojan .

I'm going!
Was looking forward to the match but as it gets closer to kickoff I'm getting slightly worried that we are going to play like a pile of shite and make hard work of what should be an easy cup tie.
Goaaarrrrn Stoke. Please don't be fucking rubbish.

We've been fairly good against the banana skin sides over the past couple of seasons so that's got to change at some point.
1-1 Half time 1-2 Full time 3-2 Extra time

We should see Portsmouth off but we all know just how difficult we can make it for ourselves. We need to get off to a good start and take the game to them. If we give them anything their confidence will go up and it will be a typical cup match.

Being a dirty southerner I'm listening to Radio Silent on the wireless, will try and give a feel of how it sounds although I suspect it will be fairly biased.
Pompey sound quite bright early minutes, Huth sounds initially rusty.
should be fairly comfy, they've made 8 changes from their league game

"I said it's a 4-2-3-1 but it's more like 4 up front with how high Moses and Odemwingie are playing" (I'm assuming + Walters)
