Firstly, thank you for the experience you gave us at The Brit and an insight into a Croatian team at your place. All the best in the league.
To the point. Is that the 'very different' team you told us we'd see? Once again distinctly average with no real threat nor any idea of how to break a decent defence down.
A few of your fans on here and on another Stoke message board described us as boring amongst other things. I would say with another big season in the Premiership, we have treated these games fairly tepidly, being mindful that we cant afford to pick up injuires. If you want to see how we can do things 'full balls out' feel free to youtube the FA Cup semi final, our home games against Manchester United,Liverpool and Chelsea last season.
Now then, how do you defend your teams tactics of blatant diving, rolling about on the floor and cowardly tackles from behind?
Was this the Split team you were expecting to see?
Fantastic atmosphere mind from what i could gather from the radio and stream.

@lew86 Thank you for you wishes. Hope you'll avoid relegation and reach Europa League group stage this season. 1) No, this was obviously not the different team we wanted to see. I cannot enter Balakov's mind and tell you what he wanted to achieve with this way of playing, but it is obviously not something we expected, and is definitely not maximum of this team. Even though I agree that, generally speaking, this team sucks. 2) No, what I just wrote doesn't change the fact your team plays boring old-school football. Yes, I'm aware Hajduk is even worse than that, but as I said, it doesn't change the fact about your team. And please, don't address us as "Split fans". We're "Hajduk fans". "Split fans" are fans of RNK Split that played against Fulham tonight. Once again, all the best for Stoke in 2011-12 season.

Can I have some karma?

Thanks for the reply mate. No offence intended with the name. I know our tempo was slow and we didnt create as many chances but i bet over the two legs we had more shots on target. Hadjuk did make some decent moves, there was some decent play between passes, even a long ball out to the man out wide. But half hearted shots were never going to trouble Begovic. The irony of it is if you had a corner and the ball had been bobbling about around the box, you probably could of had a scrapy goal. I'll be keeping my eye on 'Hajduks' campaign from now on. Take care of yourself and maybe our paths wil cross again one day and you can sample the delights of the Trent Riviera once more

Yeah, I can't help but something along these lines when I hear the name:
Woman pointing at a massive widge: "Where are you going to put that" Man with massive widge: "In your haj duck." Woman wincing: "No chance, it'll split."

@lew86 No offense taken Good luck with Thun - I'll be back here to say "congratulations"once more when you go through to the group stage. Btw, the guy who scored an own goal yesterday (Milicevic) used to play for Thun when they played in Champions League. Consider this a good omen ;D Write you all soon.

Bloody hell there's only 5 places between Europe and relegation... 6 teams get into Europe and 5 go down, what a harsh league. No wonder nobody good wants to play in the Europa league, you're playing against 6 Croatian teams that have only just avoided relegation... never mind every other similar country with teams in the tournament.
