Mike Bridge, Sky Sports News journalist and writer of the Official Tottenham Hotspur Annuals Tweeted this evening that he had spoken to some of the coaching staff at Spurs today and they had advised me that they didn't think either Crouch or Palacios would be joining Stoke.
I have just gone to link to this Tweet, and he has deleted it. I did RT it, so those of you on here that follow me may have seen it earlier.
I'm not sure what him removing the Tweet could mean...
Optimism: the Tweet was inaccurate and we are well on the way to signing them both.
Pesimism: the two players are indeed staying at Spurs, but he was asked to remove it as it is not to be made public yet.

What I don't understand is how a deal can go from "98/99% done" to them only just been given the contract
Something's a bit odd, or everything wasn't that far down the line as rumoured the other day

DV imo doesn't know anything at all. He had no idea about Upson signing. He said we were close to getting Palacios and Crouch in and neither will probably sign.  |

We won't sign the likes of Barton(Joey), Palacios, Crouch, SWP, Bendtner..
We will sign the likes of Cole, Ridgewell, Jerome, Barton(Adam)..
Purely due to wage demands...

Here's a short list of what he's got right in the past Stephen Kelly signing Saying Wilko would start at left back the Friday before a game Saying Tuncay and Fuller would start the next game Telling us to turn on SSN saying there would be breaking news about Stoke and 5 minutes later was proved right Saying 2 weeks before Bent leaving Sunderland was made public, that he would become available in the January transfer window. None of the Sunderland ITK's knew about Bent They're too good to be guesses. He knows something and posts as much as he knows. The majority of the time, it's not a lot |

I'd rather have Bendtner than Crouch anyway, but even with the pen in his hand halfway through signing his name we'll still manage to fuck it up.
