I now want the yanks to win, itv Comms just called Ramsey outstanding!!!!!! Yeah he's quite good, but outstanding? Really? USA, USA, USA battered the Leek and daffodil lovers in the first half but after the second half maybe a draw was a fair result and probably the best result for England. Entertaining game in the end

It was worth getting up early for the Argentina v Saudi Arabia game not so much for the football but for Roy Keene spitting his dummy out at half time and having a little spat with Graham Souness.
Funnier than the Argies having three first half goals disallowed (rightfully) for offside in the first half.

Wow. Last ditch defending, goal-line clearances, goalkeeper kneeing his defender in the face and about 13 minutes of injury time but the oily Arabians hung on for a unlikely victory.

Camel Jockeys get one over on the Argy cheats - General Galtieri, Evas Peron, Cheaty Madonna, err, Fray Bentos - your boys took one hell of a beating. They won;t be dancing on the streets of Riyadh tonight as that will immediately lead to 40 lashes ..

Bacon 0 - Tuna 0

so, one day in, what do we think of the Camel Cup? Some interesting results already, some good controversy, and England managed a win. I'm going to put me gay hat on to celebrate.

Booked a few days off work to watch as many teams as I can. Enjoying it all so far. Loved the England game and today's Argie v Arabs game was brilliant to watch.

Well match number four of the day watched. Harry Soutter didn't look out of place in a world cup but France were far better than Australia.
Final score: Frenchies 4 Aussies 1

Apparently the Qatari Royal Family insisted that 2 teams with a Q in contest the first game. they were hoping for Queens Park Rangers

I have enjoyed what I have seen so far. Some of the games have had plenty fans supporting their team which has made for a good atmosphere. I thought there wouldn't be many fans traveling to quatar Referees and VAR have been not too bad from what i have seen.

And now in the "Battle of the Axis" - Huns beating the Japs 1-0, by all accounts and entertaining game though.

And now in the "Battle of the Axis" - Huns beating the Japs 1-0, by all accounts and entertaining game though. Japanese have bombed back and are 2-1 up now. The Jap keeper is a bit kamikaze so it's not over til the fat sumo sings. 7 minutes of injury time left....

and the slant eyed rice chompers have scored a well earned epic win over the cabbage noshing hun. If this WC were in a proper country, it would be hailed as a masterpiece already.

Japan hang on to win. Jap keeper has punched out the ball straight to German players and gave away a daft penalty but saved the day with a great punch clear in the dying seconds.

Canada Belgium, lively but a real lack of quality in the final third, lots of endeavour though.

Was an enjoyable watch but Canada are like Stoke up front. Never really looked like scoring. Even their Penalty kick was rubbish.
They should have watched Spain banging in seven goals against Costa Rica for some tips.
