Only one goal in the first two games today. Nice to see Shaqiri in action and not so nice to see another ex stokie in action in Eric Maxim Choupo Moting.
The South Korea v Uruguay 0-0 draw was a bit disappointing. Not sure whether it was a shit match or whether I have overdosed on football in the last few days.

All the pundits agreed with the decision but there was minimal contact and Ronaldo moved to instigate the contact before going down. Very soft! In other news: Brazil looked good against Serbia in the second half once they got into their stride. |

AND FINALLY.....
The first red card of the tournament. Well done goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey. Came streaming out of the area and flattened the attacker by kneeing him in the head. Ref originally gave a yellow and VAR told him not to be such a dick so he pulled his big red one out!

My main running partner was in the Wetherspoons in Wrexham at 06.30 today before in the ground for 09.30 watching the game with Kevin Ratcliffe and another old Welsh player that I can't remember 😁

The subs improved us but not a great performance. USA probably slightly better than us but a draw is a fair result.
