I'll have a look. How much does he go for? Any other gems that you've found?

Always wait a bit in the transfer window, and look at what the big teams have on offer. Man City are always offloading great players because they have bought new ones, such as Adam Johnson, got him for about £2m, along with others on the cheap. Also Benzema, but it's pot luck, could have had Tevez if I had a bigger wage budget.
I got Chadli from Fulham on mine, he's a leading star in the Prem, cost me about £10m. But he plays for Twente at the beginning of the game, definitely worth a look, already scored a few for me right at beginning of season.
It's way different from old FM's where you could buy wonder kids for 100k or something stupid, wonder kids havee become more expensive, but you can still pick up loads of bargains.

Romario (sp?) Brazilian RB is always good. Has a release fee that's really low so you can pick him up cheap (I think). Plays in Brazil for one of the top teams.

Vrsjalko (sp) is really good too only cost you 1 mill as well. Went to Sporting for 1.1 mill in my latest game.
Played 15 games in the league with Napoli sitting 2nd 3 points behind AC, beat inter, juve and roma in a tricky 3 game stretch. ;D
Seems a very strong league though.
Also got through the champs league group beating Villarreal 0-5 on matchday 6 after beating Chelsea 3-0 in the previous game.

Won the league by 8 points beat Chievo 4-0 in the cup final and beat Barca 2-1 in champs league final.
They battered me for the whole game and lavezzi got both my goals with 2 of my 3 shots. ;D

Worst game ever, Villa at home. 10th min, Kolarov sent off, down to 10 men. Still hammering them, they score on the counter Adam Johnson breaks his leg, star player gone Still hammering them, give away a needless penalty. Basically 24 shots to their 5, and I lost 2-0, with a 3 match suspension and a serious injury thrown in

Won the MLS again with LA Galaxy and also won the US Open Cup. Left there once the Stoke job became available. Sylvain Wiltord and Malky Mackay have fucking raped the side to pieces, bought garbage in so it's up to me to keep us up and then rebuild next season
Almost at the end of the 15/16 season, in 12th, can't complain

Got to the end of the 15/16 season and Coates decided to restructure the clubs debt, downgrade all the training facilities and academy then give me a transfer budget of nothing. David Moyes got sacked from Tottenham and they offered me the job so off I went. Felt bad but I wouldn't be able to do anything at Stoke. Spurs gave me a £47mill transfer budget and have a phenomenal side. Just need a striker and some youth and that's it

Just got Bristol City promoted, decent transfer and wage budget to keep me up. BUT! I've just found out that two players have match highest earn clauses, which when I've given Adomah a new £27k contract has bumped them up as well... Basically screwing my wage budget.
Cunts.

Applied for the England job (as a shock applier) and got it. Doing that alongside the Bristol job now, getting arsed in the league but I'm doing well for England, unbeaten in the qualifiers.
Which leads me on to my next point, physical stats don't really decline for older players. I currently have a 33 year old Darren Bent playing up front for England, with 17 accel and pace...

Out of the relegation zone (just about) with Bristol.
Romping it with England though, just won 3-1 away in Spain and in Bosnia (friendlies), also beat Ireland 2-0 in the qualifiers. Probably do a proper England and fluff it in the tournament though.

It depends a lot on the factors around the player and luck with injuries. If Bent is at a side with good coaches, whilst having natural fitness, determination and professionalism on his side and hasn't had many injuries he can end up being a decent striker still in his mid 30's. On the other hand, I have a player called Wilfried, on some saves he is destroying the premiership, on my save he's had a bad time with injuries - never been fit for a full season. By the time he turned 27 he was finished as a premiership striker, right now he's almost 29 and he'd struggle to look good in the championship. Some people have had injury issues so extreme that Messi by the time he's 25/26 is rotting away in Barcelona reserves because he deteriorated that much.

I did the same to Kenwyne, absolutely ruined him with 3 serious injuries in 2 years, I checked him the other day in my 5th season and he's completely disappeared off the game, which is a bit harsh.
Also a major injury to Chadli, seems to have knocked his stats down a notch, still class though.

From just reading this thread I'm amazed at how much detail they put in this.
Wish EA would put more effort and care into making FIFA as the FM makers do.

I think EA should put some effort into making FIFA not fucking wank first. Then they can put some effort into research (although as FM have found it wouldn't even cost them anything).

Why did Donkey merge the two threads, the patch 12.2 one was about the Stoke information for the game and what people thought should be changed. Not about actually playing the game. Merging Nazi.
