Erm... Why do I not have a set wage cap for certain job roles?

I can offer one guy over £2k p/w, yet another guy I can't offer £1.1k p/w for the same job on the same length contract...

What's the reputation of the two coaches in question?

Not sure now but that's something I hadn't thought of that could affect it.

Sadly one problem with the game is that it does work too much on reputation at the moment. If you have two coaches, one is the worlds best attacking coach, the other is the worlds best shooting coach but one has world class reputation and the other has national you will be able to offer the first more than the latter as far as I know.

The same thing affects national team selection too much as well. Although for England that is more realistic than a players performances.

If the nation team selection goes too much off reputation then maybe that's why I'm doing so well at that level.

I'm very close to having an absolutely amazing season, or cave in completely.

3 games left of the season, 1 point clear at the top after arsing about in 2nd and 3rd for most of the season. Got Man City away final game though, the team 1 point behind me.

Just beat Man City on aggregate to get the the Champions League final, the one thing I have never won in FM Unfortunately the opponent is Barca who have won for the previous 3 years

Also got the FA cup final against Swansea coming up.

Genuinely angry, lost the final of the FA cup.

8 minutes in, my dickwad of a defender gets himself sent off.

I still hammer swansea all the way through, but they scored 2 goals from 3 shots. Fuming.

I've had a couple of annoying matches recently where the opposition is scoring exactly the same amount of goals as shots on target after battering them all game but meh, I aren't too arsed

Well I won the champions league! Even final, but won 2-0. Luckily for me Messi was injured.

FM is taking the piss this season.

Bought a player from Real Madrid who is leading star, with potential to be more! Torn hamstring on international duty.

Benzema who I've had for a couple of seasons, just got a torn hamstring. Luckily I've got some decent attackers, but them two are immense.

Pernao, my left winger out for a month.

And to add insult to injury played two games of the season, won the first after goign 1-0 down from a free kick, then drew against Arsenal who had 10 men and I hammered, from a free kick.

One thing I've been alright with is injuries. Only time it was a slight problem was my first season at LA Galaxy, I'd always have at least two or three of my strongest eleven out throughout the entire season, each player would be out for around 3-6 weeks. Manageable though, quite enjoyed the challenge and made winning the MLS tougher

so i had to start again due to my downloaded version crashing. i bit the bullet and paid, but theres a tenner of it on steam now so that was nice.
started with stoke, obviously no transfer budget so i signed a striker ioannis amantidis on a free and he has been useful with 5 goals and I'm into november.
cameron jerome is awesome. 12 goals in all competitions which is good because crouch is woeful and only scored 1 all season.
karim rossi has scored in every round in the league cup and I've just been drawn against chelsea for the 1/4 finals.

i signed robert pires too on a free and he has been useful off the bench and in cup games.
just signed mark bresciano for january to cover the wingers as matty and jermaine get injured or need resting quite a lot.
all in all going better than the game that crashed on me.

2017/18 season done and another Premiership title on the last day with Spurs. Lost in the Champions League final to Real Madrid in extra-time, that was a bit of a kick in the nads

World Cup time, Algeria, Wales and Chile in our (England) group. Beat Algeria 2-0, Shawcross and Wilshere with the goals

Finished 14th after a poor finish to the season but very very glad to have stayed up since I have a pretty poor squad with lots of injuries. Also made it to the FA cup final which I lost on penalties to Spurs.

Signed Welbeck, Elliot Bennet, some guy called Ongenda and a guy called Diego so far, hoping to get Clyne in fairly cheap then get a few youngsters in.

England

Suffered my first dropped points as I drew 2-2 with Israel (they should fuck off, not even in Europe), Cleverly gave away a fucking stupid penalty which pissed me off, 26 shots to their 2 as well.

Need to find a decent replacement for Walcott but there's not really anyone pacey to play on the wings.
