No need for that many strikers ;D
Filho also looks tasty, the others are alright, but how they do depends on what role anyway.
Guess you got the Brazillian league loaded?
3 of my midfield 4 are brazillians, well I say 4, I rotate between 4 wingers and 4 cm.

I'm looking to shift two of them along at least, won't be Flavio of Filho though, Robledo has played dogshit but I'll give him more time, Jimenez is really good but injury-prone and so is Cartwright but he's been a bell end for as long as he's been at the club Yeahhhhh I think so

Is Hazard amazing on yours?
He went to Arsenal and he tears defences apart, I couldn't get him at the time as Stoke's reputation wasn't good enough. Might have to blow my whole transfer budget on him next summer if I can.

Might have to blow my whole transfer budget on him next summer if I can. He's at Man City and he was unstoppable until about two years ago. Statistically, he's still brilliant at the age of 30 but hasn't done anything against me since his one man show from a few seasons back

Bloody hell I think you're further than me, I've just got to 2019, and my mates reckon I'm a right sad bastard for getting this far already.

Finally got round to playing this last weekend after it had sat in the cellophane wrapper for the last month (shocking I know) and now I'm hooked big style! A few seasons in with Stoke and I'm absolutely killing it. Playing a narrow 4-3-3 with Nicolas Nkoulou as my anchor man, Christian Eriksen pulling the strings in midfield and Carlos Fierro playing in between Yaya Sanogo and Lacine Traore up top which has proven to be absolutely lethal.
I sacrificed Matty and Jermaine in the first season which felt horrible but I have always had success on Football Manager games with a narrow 4-3-3 so I knew that I wouldn't need my wingers as much as other areas of the team. Invested in youth mainly thanks to my scouts and I've had some right bargains. Giuseppe Prestia is an Italian centre half who turns out to be the dogs, Larentiu Branescu is a young Romanian keeper from Juve who develops nicely and Nika Kvekverskiri is a Georgian right-back who turns into an absolute monster.

There are some in my team you might be able to buy cheap now, although I'm a lot further. Ospina (Colombian goalkeeper - immense) Figueiredo (Starts out at Porto on the game, I bought him from Chelsea, one of the games best all round defenders, and has good pace) Henriksen (An advanced playmaker at CM, I bought him from Sunderland, but he starts out at Rosenborg. Cracking long shots, passing and technique, aswell as great mental stats) Castaignos (A striker that starts the game at Inter Milan, taken him 2 seasons to settle down for me, but now he's on 41 goals in 40 games in March of my season) Nainggolan (Starts at Cagliari, he's a ball winning midfielder who nearly always performs for me, obviously depends if you use a ball winning midfielder, when I first got him I just rotated with Palacios because Palacios is immense anyway) Felipe Anderson (starts at Santos, a wonder kid, advanced playmaker midfielder, still on 25 for me so coul;d become the best player in the game on mine) Chamberlain (a brilliant winger, scores plenty and assists plenty, might be hard to get him though if Arsenal don't want rid) They're my first team players that aren't regens, I'm sure SRF will have more to add. Don't get rid of Shawcross, he becomes an absolutely brilliant defender and an England regular.

I've actually got Nainggolan, but like you say Palacios is a beast so he's been the main man up until I signed Nkoulou.
I'm pretty well covered with keepers because I've got Branescu, Bego as backup and then a youngster from Brazil called Guilhereme out on loan and he looks like he could be really good but I can't give him enough game time at the minute.
I did look at Chamberlain but because of my lack of a need for pure wingers I'd rather go for people who can play there who are equally as adept playing in the middle so I signed a lad called Joel Valencia from Zaragoza who is absolutely class on the right wing but I mainly use him in the middle of the park, and Alex Teixeira from Shakhtar who is brilliant in the trequartista role but can also fill in on either wing if I need him to.
I only use two tactics; mainly my narrow 4-3-3 which seems to do the job on most occasions, and I've got a back up where the two wider forwards are moved out onto the wings and that's for games away from home where there's a risk of me being done down the flanks. It's essentially the same tactic for 9 of the 11, but with the two players set out wider. I prefer the narrow version though purely because I score loads more goals with it! 3X as many strikers is 3X as many goals ;D at least that's the logic I use!
Oh and don't worry; Shawcross is the rock of my defence! I've got my eye on Papadopoulos at Schalke who looks class though.

I've got no suggestions unfortunately because I never start at Stoke on FM
However, going off being England manager, Craig Dawson, Nathan Redmond, Junior Stanislas, Jay Rodriguez, Danny Sturridge, Lewis Dunk, Jack Robinson, Fabian Delph, Alex Smithies and some lad called Nathaneol Chabaloah (spelling is well off there) are become decent players

The problem with English youngsters is that, just like in real life, they cost shit loads more than foreign equivalents. I enquired about Jack Robinson when he was nowhere near Liverpool's first team and they wanted £18M for him! I could get Alex Sandro from Porto for cheaper and he is the absolute tits at left back on this game.
Regardless of who you play as I can't recommend the partnership of Sanogo and Traore highly enough. Sanogo turns into a beast of a complete forward with pace, strength, finishing, heading, literally everything you need in a striker, and Traore is a huge target man at 6'8" (perfect Crouch replacement/upgrade) with superb physical attributes and his technical stats are also pretty good. Carlos Fierro, who I play along side them, is a little Mexican who turns into a class poacher but it can be tricky getting a work permit for him to come to England.
So who do you recommend in general then, regardless of what league or country they're from? I enjoy starting games with all kinds of teams so any hidden gems could be useful.

Won the league again, heart wrenching Champions League final though Stoke v Man Utd, 2-2 at ft, scored in first half of et 3-2, they didn't bother me at all, I got a free kick right up their end of the pitch with all my defenders back in the 120th minute, Rooney scored off the counter attack Lost 2-0 on penalties, I missed all mine. Gutted. Oh well it's a sign, a sign I'll win the 1863 FA Cup after extra time.

Haha what's up with Fierro?! A bit of a nemesis of yours or something?
I was on it last night and had one of those games where I wanted to pick my laptop up and throw it through the living room window. I played away at Chelsea and had TWENTY FOUR shots on target and didn't score one. They had three shots on target, Lukaku stuck two of them away and Cech was MOM with a rating of 9.8. Absolutely ridiculous.

Mexico end up being quite a formidable nation on mine. Think they won the World Cup in 2018 after dumping me (England) out on penalties in the Quarter Finals. Gutting that was, there was only shit teams left like Belarus, Morocco and Sweden

Fierro can be very hit or miss I've found. Some saves he is a beast, others he ends up in some backwater country playing for some part time side.
I was playing last night and lost 4-1 to Bolton, I just saved it and turned it off in disgust. Not quite sure why my team took such a beating, Bolton were even playing Zat Knight upfront.
