Won 1-0!!! ;D
Sam Baldock scored the winner with his 40th goal of the season.
I would give my testicle to get him on a permanent transfer.

Had a quality game going, fifth in first season, started well in second, with some quality youth players coming through and had just got everything bang on with the squad. Computer froze while I was 2-0 up against Wolves, punched it in annoyance, broke hard drive...

Just finishing my run of 7 games in 13 days. Including the two legs of the EL semi final against Man City (0-0 at theirs, 1-0 at the brit).
Lost 4-0 at the Hawthorns in my last game with a youth team, now beating the cunts 5-0 at home at half time)

Starting my pre-season in the championship. Got Whitehead and Gary O'Neil on a free and couple of other free transfers. The board haven't given me a very big budget which would be fine but I let half of my squad go. They were either on-loan, too old or just not good enough to play in the Championship. Hopefully I'll finish mid-table then be able to make a push for promotion the following season. Come on the Dons!!

Finished off my first season with Stoke, finished 8th on 57 points. Steve Kean won manager of the season (for finishing 11th and losing the FA cup final to Bolton), I finished 8th, won the League Cup and the Europa League and didn't even make it into the top 3.

Finished the summer transfer window.
In: Lacina Traore (£7.5m) Gaetan Bong (£7.5m) Adam Johnson (£4m) Marco Verratti (£1.5m) Domenico Cutelo (£1.3m) Joel Valencia (£1.6m) Benjamin Mendy (£700k) Zeli Ismail, Alessandro Crescenzi, Lesley de Sa, Chris Gadi, Scott Allan, Alhassane Keita, Oliver Markoutz, Florian Odin (frees)
Out: Shotton (£2.5m) Crouch (£3m) Big Mama (£200k, I regret this one) Diao, Lund + Tonge (Free) Odin, Niang, Polworth, de Sa, Plummer, Markoutz, Marshall, Keita, Valenica (Loan)
Not a bad transfer window imo, I've swapped the ageing Crouch for the young Traore, brought in Bong as a good left back, and the rest to flesh out my squad to hopefully cope better with the fixture list.

Lost 2-0 to Wolves in the League Cup 4th Round ending my ridiculous run of giant-killing
However, I beat Spurs 2-1 with goals in the 84th and 94th minute in the FA Cup 3rd Round. Southampton up next

Traore scored 5 minutes into his debut as a sub then scored a hat trick in a 6-3 win over Chelsea, not bad.

Getting Traore at £7.5m is a good deal, I signed him on a free from his Russian side (Kazan is it?) but obviously they still have a compensation deal which was £2.4m. Had a look at that Valencia in my save, really wish I'd signed him as he looks such a cracking player on my game.
How does Gadi look on your save? He's looked a prospect for a couple of years now except for the lack of finishing, he has always seemed to have explosive pace though.

Pretty much exactly that for Gadi, good physical stats, average technicals. I'll probably sell him on for a few million in a couple of years, which will probably be the case with most of the frees I get in the summer. Trying to make the club as self sustainable as possible, so even if they give me fuck all transfer budget one year I can still sell some youth off and bring in players that I need.

Back to back promotions ftw
League 1 now, had a bit of a squad refresh. Got a load of young players in for minimal fees thanks to the money from gate receipts from last seasons cup runs (FA Cup 4th Round and League Cup 4th Round) and plenty of decent free transfers

The new patch is out now, not too many match engine changes (as there is possibly a brand new match engine for FM13) but all the new data changes are there.

Had a bit of a break from it but I'm back on now. Although I did rage yesterday, 3-0 up on 90 minutes against Malaga (I have a Euro Cup group of Lokomotiv, Vitesse and Malaga) and it ended 4-3 so it go turn off very fast. Man City did the same to me when I was 1-0 up against them and they won 2-1 in injury time with two bullshit goals where Begovic didn't move. Other than that it's going pretty well. Man City was the first game of the season that I've dropped points and I'm 5th (but have a game in hand that could take me top). Oh but I lost the Super Cup to The Shit on penalties, my best two penalty takers missed the last 2 penalties

Yep, I’m pretty much full-on addicted to this game again! Loving the lower league challenge with Tamworth, just coming up to the end of the second season and I’ve absolutely walked League 2. I’ve found it much easier than the Blue Square premier for some reason. In pre-season I released all of my older players and signed a load of youngsters that were released by Premier teams (to the extent that when it came to registering my squad I only had 9 senior players to name!) and some of them have developed into absolute crackers already. William Ekong from Suprs has been a rock at centre half and scored a few crucial headers, Ruben Lameiras (also Spurs) has been a wizard down the left wing for me, but the best freebie of all is Davide Petrucci who got released by Man Utd and he’s an absolutely class creative centre midfielder. He’s a cut above anything in League 2 and my Ass.Man reckons he’s got the potential to be a good Prem player so God knows how I signed him! Hopefully I’ll hardly need to touch the squad for League 1 because the way that they’ve been progressing should see them compete in the league above without much trouble. Having a tactic that consistently gives me 60%+ possession also seems to help! ;D
Going straight into the Prem is fun but working your way up the leagues is so much better!

Haha I'd love to claim that I invented the phrase but sadly the kudos goes to SRF.

I think ass man is a generally used phrase for FM... (Interesting given the homosexuality in sport thread)
Traore has been troublesome for me. He never performed if I played him as a starter but was excellent from the bench, then he score 3 against Wolves and hit form (rating 7.5+ without scoring), 3 games later... Broken foot. Injuries always seem to hit in form players this year.

Nahhhhh it was definitely me who coined the phrase I got AFC Telford promoted once again from League 1 via the Play Offs. Was 2-1 down after the 1st Leg against Notts County, took them back to our place and smashed them 3-0. Beat Preston 4-2 in the Final
