Just moving this on slightly, I can't wait to see the approach to the Kiev game, both in team line-up and tactics. The obvious conclusion is that he'll play it very tight and try to nick something but you just don't know with TP and Europe. With all the travelling and away Prem games after every Europa Lge game, I'm not convinced he'll take it all that seriously. Just a hunch but I think he might go for it ;D TP will take this seriously and that is why I think he is adopting a more cautious approach to the premiership, he knows how to get points in the premiership he knows the formula to stay up is keeping things tight. I think he wants to WIN the UEFA cup I honestly think that TP could no more not take a game seriously as he could cut his own pidge off with a rusty spoon  He's certainly done everything he can to get the players in place to give it his best shot. Strange this comment Sid but my Man Utd supporting mate seriously said to me last week, before the five pints, that he sees no reason why Stoke can't win the Europa Cup. |

Funny you should say that, I was talking to scouse truck driver yesterday. After having a rant about Stoke he went on to say that we could do well in Europe playing the way we do as we dont concede many and some of the European sides can be a little clumsy and heavy in their defending, resulting in lots of free kicks we could capitalise on.
He wasnt a bad geezer once he`d calmed down a bit ;D

youre right there Mr Jam. Once you get the usual `couldnt watch that every week` out of the way I think theres a lot of respect for what we`ve achieved. Its just not fashionable for other fans to be heard saying it though. ;D
