I'm working away and will miss it, really dreading this one, just hope the result will be a good one and the old song 'getting sacked in the morning' to steve kean will be ringing out all round the ground Agree we need pace in the team, not sure what the line up will be from TP though.

That song could well be getting sung at Pulis if its a bad one

Palacios will either start in this one or against Kiev.
Honestly I'm torn, this is a big big game to get our league season on track and one we seriously need points from, but the Kiev game gives us a massive chance to seal our place in the knockout stages.

Blackburn fans to protest at the match: Organisers say they will not stop demonstrating until Kean is sacked and the club is run "in the way it deserves". Supporters said they were angry at Venky's management, Kean's handling of team affairs and the fact he was this week handed a revised contract with a reported pay rise. In the letter, supporters tell the Rao family behind the Venky's poultry and pharmaceutical firm: "The path that has been taken during your 12-month tenure has affected fans and their families in ways that you probably will not be able to imagine. "We fear the fans' patience and enthusiasm for their club is at a breaking point. "All we ask is that you take great care and consideration in your future decisions and maintain Blackburn Rovers' long history of honour and tradition." news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15896858.stm

"There have been occasions in the Premier League where we have had bad patches and bad runs," Pulis said. "It has happened before, and I think the biggest thing in management is just making sure you approach things in the same manner. "I'm no different to what I was when we got to Wembley last year. "You look at what we have done this year - we have played eight games in Europe and we are unbeaten. If we had won on Saturday (they lost 3-2 at home to QPR) we would have been in the top 10 of the Premier League. "You have to make sure you stay level-headed and get on with it. "It's strange really - people keep saying this is a big game, or that is a big game. "They are all big games, and if we win, brilliant. If we lose, it's still not the end of the world - and people try to make out that it is the end of the world." "We need to sort things out - we need to get some clean sheets," Pulis added. "We need to work together as a team - it's not just the back four, it's everybody together. "I think in the games that we've played at home, we've looked as if we are potent enough to score goals, but when you score two goals at home (as against QPR), you expect to win a game of football, not lose it." www.tribalfootball.com/articles/stoke-boss-not-reaching-panic-button-just-yet-2206791

Pulis has confirmed that Thomas Sorensen will keep his place in goal after coming into the starting line-up last weekend as a replacement for Asmir Begovic, who was at fault for two of the goals in the 5-0 loss at Bolton on November 6. "I'll stick with Thomas, I think he did well," Pulis said. "Begovic is only a young kid and he's played 40-odd games in the Premier League for us. "He has been outstanding, and yet he's had a bad spell in respect of making one or two decisions that have cost us some goals. "It is a position that is very damning. If you make a mistake there and it costs you, it usually costs you a goal. "But he's such a good lad and if you work with him, you realise how ambitious he is and how much he wants to improve. He is a massive asset for this football club." www.football365.com/stoke-city/7333058/Pulis-Not-End-Of-World-If-We-Lose-To-Blackburn-

Presumably if Tommy is in goal in the league it'll be Bego in the EL?

I think he'll find just how big this game is if we lose and ship 3 or 4 again...

I think he believes he has become invincible as the manager and can laugh off the importance of what this match means to the fans...Losing at home is not on regardless of who we play or what league we are in and we will give any manager the stick they deserve if they keep putting out a team that does not get a home result.

Or he's trying to lower expectations in case we do get a bad result...
You know, thinking about it logically... Unlike saying that we should be beating everyone at home.

Unfortunaltey the success we have have had in the prem at home that pressure he has made for himslef and his teams he puts out, no one else to blame other than himself in my book. It also make his away day tactics come even more under the spotlight as it has now added pressure on getting results away from the Brit too. If we have to take a dose of realism then so be it but I can't see the fans giving him too much leeway should the result end up the wrong one tomorrow can you?

I agree it puts his away day tactics under the spotlight. But to say it's his fault that we've done exceptionally well at home that we, the fans, should expect to beat everyone at home says more about the fans than Pulis and who needs to sort themselves out.
And I think he'll get plenty of leeway, compared to other managers in the league anyway. Chelsea have been on a run of a few bad results and they're already calling for AVB to be sacked (in the masses), sure Pulis will have a few people saying that but he always has and probably always will. I, and I'm sure quite a few other fans, will be extremely pissed off if we don't get a result tomorrow, however I also have faith in TP to get us out of this slump like he has before.
I genuinely thought that last week we were unlucky and there was nothing Pulis could have done, we should've been 2-0 up and at that point when they scored our heads wouldn't have dropped like they did. And needless to say despite the mistakes that lead to goals, it was a massive improvement pre-break. Get at Blackburn like we did QPR and hopefully we won't have another bent ref.
