Liverpool and Newcastle both at home coming up, winnable games, potentially in the QFs of the League Cup and back up to 7th

Van Percy wasn't the turning point of the game Salif fucking Diao was.
Shame because it was one of our better away performances.

Wasn't expecting to win, positives are we got a goal and weren't completely battered.
MOTD is certainly not worth watching.

Salif Diao did well when he came on, broke the play up quite well I thought, we'd struggled with Arteta and Ramsey all game down the middle so it was an obvious sub to bring on... and he did well. Van Persie coming on gave them a bit of a confidence boost and the crowd a lift, a confident Arsenal team will beat most teams at the Emirates. I haven't really got any complaints about the loss.

If only Van Persie wasn't so good. Bloody hope he leaves them, without him they're struggling to get a Europa League spot. ;D

Unfortunately Diao is the easy target because he's not an offensive sub. Without Van persie we looked in control and the more likely team to grab a winner, he changed to game unfortunately.

Salif is just a scapegoat. I haven't seen a second of the game because I was out but I imagine the result wasn't down to his not so long cameo.

With the fixtures weve faced since the start of the season we are doing far better than I thought we would. A defeat is always a downer but we have a batch of games coming up where we can get three points home and away. No reason to worry, lets have a look where we are at the end of December. The wrist slashers are on Radio Stoke again

That's 8 games in 25 days now that we've played as well
What's blinding people from the fact that we weren't realistically going to win and the fact that today was an improvement on Swansea and Sunderland is the Arsenal factor. The sheer hate of them is making these facts irrelevant and that isn't fair on the Stoke lads at all

I only watched the first half but considering we were away at Arsenal and Van Persie is the league's in form player at the moment it's not a bad result. Pulis did change his tactics today and we did have ago. The people blaming Diao are just finding scapegoats. We were shit at Swansea and Sunderland, we weren't shit today, Van Persie is just class and man for man, offensively, Arsenal are the better side.

I said 3-1 didn't I?
However much their side has been dismantled, the quality of Van Persie, Arteta, Ramsey and Gervinho is still much, much better than most other sides in the league.
That said, on the whole, we do need to give the opposition more to think about away from home. We worry too much about what they can do to us and concentrate on them rather than ourselves and our game.
I can accept that Pulis is a defensive minded manager but we're clearly not getting anything from the way we set up. Just try, maybe once, something a little bit more adventurous.
