Well if any of the likes of Shawcross, Upson, Huth, Jones or Fuller clatter into one of our smaller players, our players might die in the battle as well... But don't worry our coach is no Arsene Wenger... ;D shame on you for mentioning him on here Might censor that name. Could upset any kids reading.

Finally a serious question: when will the rematch be kicked off. I know that there is still no such info available either from UEFA or from stokecitycfc.com - but anyone of you might have insider knowledge?

Me and myself will not spend much time at Stoke but stay overnights in an unknown city near an airport. I must save my holidays for the UEFA Europa League group stage ;D ;D ;D
On a more serious note: when I visited the Britannia stadium back in 2009, I had a beer or two in a tiny pub and a bar not too far away from the train station. Then I walked on foot towards the stadium and only passed one pub (HOME FANS ONLY). The stadium itself looked to be built in a sort of drylands... Is there actually a pub or a bar next to the stadium that offers away fans some shelter and an ale...?

Lee Plenty of places by the ground to grab a beer. The Harvester and Powerleague are very close. Stoke town centre is good for beers but not recommended for away supporters. Check this out for more info www.footballgroundguide.com/stoke_city/pubs.htm

Dharma I completely agree
The only thing is we have that many uneducated neanderthals that they will see a Thun supporter and immediately think its time to scrap.
I would love Stoke to become a mixed set of fans, many other teams mix but I just would not recommend it on the basis of I would rather the Swiss lads came and enjoyed themselves.

Fair enough really, it's a bit unfortunate they've had to come after the Croats made a nuisance of themselves and pissed people off.

I've got to say that the great proprtion of the Croat supporters were fine individuals. On Friday we had a number of handshakes, well dones and good lucks all with smiles and good humour. On Wednesday my lad was told on a couple of occasions that it would be sensible as a matter of precaution not to wear Stoke colours. I suspect that there will be no antagonism towards the Swiss and why would there be but we've also unfortunately got some morons like Hajduk.

Definitely, although I think we're doing a disservice to our own fans. I can't really see our nutters wanting to cause a fight with supporters of a club there's no antagonism with (as a fair few Hajduk fans did); it's not really in the English supporters' mentality.

I do so hope that you're right Ingerrland, Ingerrland, Ingerrland, you're not forgetting that we're a warrior nation, just like Croatia

Thanks for the advice... Well in Switzerland itself, Thun fans have the reputation of being the fairest and most peaceful set of them all... Being a tiny part of the crowd for several years now I'd say we're even proud of that feature... It would be worse if Stoke had been drawn against Basel or Zurich as they have lots of retards in their following.... Well; that's my last time being online before the game - let's hope to have a cracking game and let all fans in our new stadium act together to lift the new built roof... If the crowd gets excited by the match, there should be a fine atmosphere - come on you reds (that's us I mean! )
