With 3 just released i've decided to go through them all at last, apparently the latest one is the best as well, should be a good few hours of gaming to get through.

I started with Mass Effect 2 last year on the PS3; absolutely loved it. The only thing stopping me from getting Mass Effect 3 at the moment is that some of the best parts of the last game were later add-ons, so I don't want to miss out on them.
I can't wait to get stuck into it though, I survived the last game with my whole team intact (but all of the crew died). Apparently the new one is all about making decisions to sacrifice some teammates instead of building a new team. Looks pretty good.

I just came here to start a thread, well done Sheldon. I can't wait for this beauty, going to wait till next week to play it though because I've booked 2 days off. Reviews from places without ME banners splattered over the page say it's not better than 1 and 2 but it's of the same standard, which is good enough for me. ME has been my favourite series this gen and I haven't even played 1 (PS3), just watched videos of the story. You've got a good 150+ hours to plough through all 3. There will be dlc Uncs but you'll be able to pick them up wherever you are in the story like 2. There's even day 1 dlc with a character that's apparently quite a key character, that's the only thing that's slightly annoying because it's another 7-8 quid but it wasn't produced in time (3 months after it went gold?), should be made free for the first week IMO. What's your Sheps like? I regret not making a FemShep and a proper wanker renegade Shep. Some of his reactions in conversations are a pisser. My Sheps are both fully paragon but with different outcomes at the end of 2 SPOILERS for Sheldons benefit (if someone can put the last bit of text in a spoiler tag I'd be grateful) First play through a lot of the squad died and the crew got vacuumed, the second I 100%ed with a guide and kept everyone alive to get a full squad on 3. Both plays I saved the Rachnii queen, sacrificed Kaiden on one and Ash on the other (she was a reet bitch on that planet you first fight the collectors). |

Ooh I didn't know they were that long, i'll be playing the pc version of them all and noticed there is already a DLC unlocker for 3 on TPB.
I've got 2 and 3 downloaded already but one is taking cunting ages ;D
Just wanna get playing a good story driven game again now with Skyrim being smashed since November.

It's possible if they do an MMO. Promising that the series isn't over, it's such a massive universe that they've got so much room to manoeuvre.

In fact, it pisses me off that they charge for things that can be part of the story whenever they are released... extra guns or costumes, fair enough, not an extra level or character though! My main Shephard is a black man, that's the one that I finished the game with. On that game I've got a full team, got very lucky with who I chose to do the last mission because I was keeping Miranda with me to use her power that got a certain trophy that I was aiming for; I found out after that if I didn't bring her with me for certain things that a few of the characters would have died. Killed my whole crew in the process mind. When I finished that game, I got a DLC package that contained the back story. It pissed me off that I didn't have that in the first play-through because you get to make decisions in that. I was going to be a full on prick in that version, had a proper cunt of a Shepard that looked like a gay version of Ricky Gervais with bright pink armour and always chose the cunt option. Just did the extra DLC bits in that play-through and got bored of going over the things that I'd already done so gave up pretty early. |
