Any news on the rest of the game? Will they improve the loan system because I'm sick of having no bids for some of the best youngsters in the world when I'm trying to loan them out. We only get told about the changes that directly impact upon our research at this point, so contract changes, the new academy information and new stats for staff/players etc. The beta should be soon, all the researchers get first dibs on that lol. |

We haven't done anything yet have we? Planning permission needs to be granted by the council, and then the FA also have to grant us super academy status, plus it would probably take a while to build.
Maybe they could make it so Coates offers an upgrade, or always accepts when you ask.

That is one thing I'd actually change, Coates seems to be very positive towards the academy irl but on game he's an absolute dick about it and keeps refusing to upgrade.
(and yeah I didn't think you'd know much about the game yet, worth an ask though)

Coates has been changed to be more in favour of youth development now. During the beta I'll have to check how much actual effect this has but Coates certainly has all the entrants to focus on bringing through youths.
There have been other changes though, like some members of staff will have far more influence over the youth team than an AI manager would. So like at Stoke it will largely replicate the fact Pulis never bothers but there are other staff to take care of it.
A lot of things are up in the air at the moment deciding on what the FA do and then what the clubs themselves do. We're meant to have our audit for Category 1 soon then at least it'll be clearer to know what we're doing.
The youth recruitment system whilst still unknown to researchers will most likely be drastically overhauled with the category 1/2/3 academies coming in.

Can't wait to see how the Director of Football role pans out. All we know is that you can give him tasks like Contract Negotiations but what I want to know is if the Board can force one upon you, bit like Liverpool when they had Damien Comolli and he was key in overspending on shite last season (and then left/sacked for those failings)
In a weird way, I'd love a foreign board to come in, force a DoF on you and put responsibilities like signing players onto them without you having an option. It'd force you to get through what would be a turbulent time at the club, or even force you to leave
I'm hoping they haven't just shoved it in without giving it the realistic possibilities

I'm already playing, and the new UI is a bit to get your head around but the vast majority of things I've had to sign a non-disclosure agreement for - they do actually take this very serious lol.
Anyway, on to the important things - Tuncay coming back to Stoke on a free transfer and I have Michael Owen in the squad he's his injuries so far:
31st July 2012:
Bruised Head - 8 days
9th August 2012
Knee Tendonitis - 8 months
Fucking Owen.

I will actually lose access at some point, when the game goes into lockdown before release. That said, Litmanen scored on his debut vs Man City at the tender age of 41 I'm sure Pulis must have had a look this season and I just beat Liverpool 3-1 away from home, I can actually see this thread getting me more hated than the depression one lol.

Not sure, but the press conference has said sometime before christmas which sounds like it may not be out like normal in early November. Of course, that just covers their backs incase anything goes pop in the game at the last moment the demo is usually a couple of weeks before release.
Researchers aren't informed on that level, I'm just happy getting to play already lol.
