So much for "research" They aren't meant to know anything specific about Stoke, it was more comments about possibly being mercenary in his nature (Adam) and that he wouldn't leave Liverpool for Stoke if it was on less money. Conveniently enough, Adam then did an interview stating he left Liverpool for less money at Stoke to play more regularly. There is more outside insight now than there used to be, the Arsenal researcher from FM07/08 is responsible for that I think. Remember when Arsenal had a whole team full of super players, and super regens? As well as having the ability to generate insane cash revenues. Come January Coates should pump some more in anyway, he has been on the last few builds of the Beta. |

Does the match engine run horrifically slow for anyone else? The rest of the game runs like an absolute dream and then as soon as I get into a match, it decides to run like Mertesecker in fucking treacle

Yea it should be, the match engine is meant to have had an awful lot of work done on it this year, and the majority of the testing for that is being done in house to prevent all the new features of the game being leaked prematurely.
With such wide beta testing this year it should work better as they will have feedback from more systems and where problems may lie.

Oh and these are own goals caused by my players hammering simple backpasses at the keeper. They also have a tendancy to hammer the ball out of play under no pressure.
Then again, they are Dutch. Going to start again with Stoke in a bit and try to shift some players.

The ME, especially defending, is just awful. Every goal that's been scored except two have been from crosses

Not sold on the layout yet, but that will probably just take some getting used to.
Absolutely love that coaches can train for new licenses though, if there's a load of small changes like that, it will make a really big difference.

Some even decide to study for coaching badges off their own back. But I do love the fact that you can potentially take your old squad legends, send them off to do their Coaching Badges and then develop a proper world class backroom team |

Yeah there seem to be a lot of excellent small changes but the big changes *cough*match engine*cough* seems to be absolutely awful.

One great thing is how easy it is to send players on loan. I managed to get my entire u21 contingent off on loan within a week.
