Crouch and Jones weren't scoring for fun for me, the goals were spread around the team with 16 different players scoring throughout the season. Here's the breakdown of goals for the forwards in all competitions:
Crouch 14 Arnautovic 8 Jones 6 Walters 5 Agudelo 1
My second top goalscorer was Shawcross with 9!

I still miss the facility to be able to make players do runs by dragging their pointer about the pitch. I also hate how it is all on Steam. Can't you just buy the DVD and play it just by installing it from that? I've pretty much given up on the game since steam got involved, and I don't use copies so don't see why I should have to go through the hassle of steam just to play a game I've bought

Open Steam > Click Library > Click Football Manager 14 > Click Play

Just check with Santy first but I'm sure that's how you can prevent downloading the patch updates.

The lack of piped broadband is part of the price I have to pay for early retirement to a leisure park is all Everything else is bob on. Golf Course, Fishing, Gym, Swimming, and a lot more all on site but no broadband other than mobile or Ruralsat (which is shit). Thanks for your help though.

Yeah you can set Steam as offline, I had to do it for like a month at the end of Uni because our internet got turned off.

Steam can be run in an offline mode and FM is fine with it after its first installation. There is a patch due for release day which may have a minor data update in with it for a few players. Beyond that there isn't anything else planned until January in terms of updates. There is usually on going smaller patches through steam these days though.

Board wanted mid table, FA Cup sixth round and Europa League first round.
I finished 10th and go to the Semi's of both competitions.

Haven't played a game yet without having to take an injured player off. Also if weight training was as dangerous in real life as it is in FM it would be bloody illegal.
Apart from that i'm really enjoying it, some great bargains. Ola Toivaonen £3.5M and Keisuke Honda for a measly £1.4M!

Are we all in agreement that this years FM is the worst one to date?

I was enjoying it massively until the full game came out and since then it's been utter fucking shit.
No, you're having Shawcross for £10mill.. no, not £12mill either.. £150k? Well, that'll do nicely.. hang on, HOW ABOUT NO YOU DAFT BASTARDS!
Square it.. fucking square it.. WHY ARE YOU TURNING AROUND AND TRYING TO BOOT THE DEFENDER YOU'VE JUST LEFT FOR DEAD!?
And don't get me started on Full Back ratings.. a 5 for what looked like a solid performance? (I use Extended highlights this year to try and see what's going on better). Ahhhhh, he didn't get 4 assists but was at fault for 2 goals, that's why he didn't get a higher rating..
It's fucking awful, so many daft bugs and the Match Engine has gone backwards.

It wouldn't let me sign a Tranmere youth player for £40million with Arsenal. The deal went through at £2million, fucking bullshit game.
