I'm utterly convinced that snow, cold and shit weather heralds a fixture against Sunderland. Add to this that Kevin (not so)Friend(ly) is the ref, I'd expect a player* to be sent off as he's sent off two in the past.
I really hope the same group of players that have turned up at home don't bother for this one, we need some fucking blood and guts if we're going to pick up any points I'm afraid.
A sketchy, horrible 1-0.

I'd take a crap boring game if it meant three points for Stoke. Hughes needs to get 'em fired up for this.

We'll nick it 1-0 with a thunderbolt on the last few minutes from Arnie.

If we lose this than there will be mass suicide and people calling for Hughes head. Been a toss appointment so far as expected.

Can I ask who you would have (realistically) had in place of Hughes, Pick? I'm not trying to pick out argument, I'm just genuinely intrigued.

I can already see this one. 87 minutes of them defending with 9/10 men with us incapable of breaking them down. Then they'll nick a goal. 0-1.

Pulis had to go as we were dropping at an alarming rate and the football had become dire to watch. I've always thought Hughes is a wanker and his debacle at qpr didn't fill me with much hope. At the time I fancied Martinez or di Matteo. Whether or not they were getteble I've no idea

Remember when we were getting all excited about Benitez being in charge? The fat bastard chose a title challenging Champions League team in a hot country over us, prick.

I think Martinez has something. I wasn't convinced at Wigan and I'm not sure what it is that he's got really, it might just be being a routinely lucky cunt: keep Wigan up by the skin of their teeth season after season without being sacked, win the Cup against a team trying to lose their manager, get relegated finally but win the Cup and get a nice promotion. So it seems to work for him and it makes you wonder what we might have got from him.
Hughes has got to have at least one full season. I hope we stay up and it gets better and we genuinely do build upon the direction we're going, but staying up first is the big issue.
We do need a win on Saturday. Have absolutely no idea what will happen.

I'm starting to get those nervous butterflies, not the good kind.
Arnie to score with his arse in the 89th. After a scramble in the box, the expulsion of an eggy fart 'just' knocks the ball, Mannone throws up over O'Shea's leg due to the vile nature of the gas.

Completely untrue and made up. He knew what the strategy was before going into the club and nothing has changed there. The interview that it's all come from was absolutely positive in every sense. Unfortunately it'll probably create a siege mentality for the Sunderland team.
