I think I might have a bash at making Scotch Eggs later tonight. I must say that whilst I think Facebook is clown shoes, and those twattish viral clips annoy the hairy bags off me, I sometimes save those recipes from Tasty, and have made a couple of them , included chilli beef and sweet and sour chicken balls and they actually worked really well, so now I am much more likely to experiment in the kitchen. Just requires forsight re ingredients. But tonight, the quest is for scotch eggs, and my friends, that challenge HAS BEEN ACCEPTED!!! (You have to imagine that last bit been said in as stirring sort of voice, possibly by that bloke of the Read recruitment ads.)

Had an absolute world beating scotch egg from the Nantwich food festival; possibly the best thing i've ever eaten... ever. I wanted to go but the Mrs didn't, so we didn't go  ... next year First time Ive been and was suitably impressed, its fucking huge and the best food / drink / smells all aover (its fanny heavy too). Will be making an all dayer of it next year; eat, drink, skick, repeat..... |
