Why do you always get Toblerone and nuts? I stayed at a place called the Banyan Tree in Bangkok and within an hour of checking in I had 5 people arrive at the door all with different things...flowers, some kind of fruit juice, a fruit a basket, chocolates etc but my fave was a woman with a few bowls of colourful stuff for my complimentary massage. I hate massages and declined and eventually got so pissed off I stopped answering the door as would have been answering it all night at that rate. Could imagine being asleep at 3am and someone arriving with my complimentary pen holder or sock divider. Lovely hotel though and had free cocktails between 7 and 8 at their rooftop bar, Vertigo...am scared shit-less of heights and couldn't do it. for clarification; you turned down free stuff, oily sex and free beer?  Was without doubt a 'proper' massage and was no way was sitting in an open top bar about 55 stories up...so the beer yep but to be fair was a 30p Gin and Tonic establishment nearby, nearer to the ground and a bit more fun on the eye |

foreign hotels that dont have a kettle in the room, twats, ive nicked a bottle of water from a meeting room  I often wondered who actually used those kettles in hotel rooms ,bit like those shower caps or nail files :-) handy for a brew or boiling foreign shit water to drink |

Stopping in a cheap (by London standards) hotel in Kensington tonight. It's clean and perfect for a one night stay but the en-suite shower room is tiny with just a shower curtain between the shower and the toilet. If I over sleep and get up late in the morning I'll be able to save time by sitting on the bog and shitting and showering at the same time.
