Flo with goal of the season ;D Don't let Ryan see this, the board will be covered in digital spaff which will be unmergable even by the great merger himself, Donko In my Afc Telford/Man City game, my superstar, legendary regen Wolfgang Schafer, twatted the ball in from about 40 yards after winning the ball in our half, beating two players in midfield and then deciding to just smash it as hard as possible. By far the greatest goal individual goal any of my players have ever scored I do, however, prefer a good old, well worked, yet quick and direct team move which results in a glorious tap in ;D

Just started a new game with Arlesey Town using the database editor for Lower English leagues, I've got rid of the shit players who were taking up a large wad of my wage budget and am now bringing my own players in.
All set for the 6 weeks now! ;D

Reasons we should keep Salif Diao?

Me and the German head researcher are currently locking horns over Robert Huth's ratings. Hopefully he proves good today as I said this would be a good measure of some of the things called into question (like how he'd deal with better strikers and under pressure from them). There are some fairer points about his passing and technique which actually surprised me a bit when I realised they were so high lol.

Reasons we should keep Salif Diao? His DDM is shit, fuck him off unless he fancies being a scout.

Here's the overview I got in an e-mail:
Key new & improved features for Football Manager 2012:
Transfers & Contracts – significant changes to the transfer and contract systems, including loyalty bonuses, better implementation of amateur and youth contracts, an improved transfer centre and the ability to lock areas of the contract negotiation when you aren't prepared to budge. This helps you to manage your budgets and gives you flexibility in what you offer money hungry players, or agents, as incentives.
Scouting improvements – using several real life scouting reports, a new in-game report has been devised which includes squad analysis, tactics information and information about goals scored and conceded alongside lots of other scouting improvements, giving you all the information you need to prepare before kick-off and throughout the season.
3D Match Improvements – new animations, a whole new crowd system, improved weather system, more stadiums, plus two brand new cameras - "Behind Goal" and "Director Cam" as well as all other camera angles being reversible - meaning you can watch and analyse every aspect of every game.
Manage Anywhere, Anytime – the ability to add or take away playable nations in your saved game as often as you want. Manage in that country at the start of the next season- meaning you don’t have to stay in the nations which are chosen by you to be playable at the start of your career.
Tone – a whole new level has been added to team talks and conversations, with the new tone system, which allows you to specify the way you want to say things – be as cool as a cucumber by saying things calmly or throw tea cups around by saying things with passion. There are 6 different tones to choose from with specific comments per tone.
Intelligent Interface – a new adaptive layout system, which means the higher your screen resolution, the more info is easily at your fingertips. The new interface also contains new filters, customisable columns, a new tactics screen, and lots of new overview screens.
Brand New Tutorial – standing separate from the main game, a mode to help new players find their way around the game easily, whilst also offering tips to experienced managers on how to get the most out of the game, as well as a new in-game “how to” system.
On top of these key innovations, there are lots of areas of the game that have had huge improvements, such as the media system, press conferences, the youth system, newgens, the social networking options, friendlies, international management and many more which will be detailed in a series of video blogs over the coming months, alongside more information about Football Manager 2012.

The ratings suggested would make Huth incapable of performing like that at CB nevermind covering at RB so I think there will be so ground conceded by the German Researcher, who I'm sure has seen very little of him recently, perhaps only the FA Cup Final where Huth was playing whilst strapped up.

Sounds about right Santy. Even in the FA Cup, I thought he played well considering he was about 75% fit and against a multi-million pound side. The Germans tend to not take any note of their players that're playing abroad, even at national team level (Joachim Low) He's definitely better at CB than at RB but he's gradually getting better at RB in my opinion. Didn't look troubled on Sunday. He's also arguably the best CB outside the top four and it's about time his ratings reflected this Your main case has got to be that you actually watch the bloke week in, week out. Sounds like stubbornness and lack of knowledge on the German researchers behalf

Well Huth is currently close to 150 CA, the German researcher has argued he shouldn't be above 137 in his opinion, when Samba is about 160CA and Zat Knight is 135 CA I'm sure I'd see Huth as being much closer to Samba than to Knight (Samba will probably be cut back a bit as a lot of the Blackburn Ratings were 'ambitious').
I suspect its largely a debate coloured by the fact that because Huth isn't in the German national team he can't be that good. I genuinely think both the HR for England and German Researcher were happy to go along with the Chelsea acid test.
I've probably been to conservative if anything with the Stoke ratings on a technical level, however, I've sacrificed some of that to make the team much more determined and consistent. Some players like Fuller are inconsistent, but those who churn out solid performances regularly should be capable of doing it.
Having a consistency and determination of 15 but only a CA of 135 is more effective, across the course of the season than being at 160 CA but only having a determination and consistency of 7/8. Mario Balotelli is probably the best example, some great technical stats and a high CA but hardly ever does the job because he lacks determination, teamwork and consistency.

I got a lovely message saying that I've got a XML Parsing Error so the game either crashes, fails to load or just switches my laptop straight off
Arsed

I've had a few of those but clicking ok seems to let me continue, but this is only in normal gameplay. I know Steve Claridge's profile used to cause it 100% of the time for me, can be silly little things that cause it if its persistent, otherwise just use a 3 rolling file autosave every fortnight. Has saved me many frustrations.
