Has anything been done with regards to the retarded minimum release clauses in contracts?
eg. You buy a player for his £3.5m release clause, then he won't budge on having another £3.5m release clause in his contract?

In all likeliness we won't have much. I have told the head researcher that the deals for Palacious, Crouch and Jerome weren't all cash upfront, I set us initially a budget of £25m. After this point however, it has left my hands. If done as I intended it to be by the Head Researcher then there will be a few million left in the transfer pot, somewhere around £5m/£6m if not and its been taken out of the budget on the whole still then we'll possibly start with no free transfer funds.
The club has some potentially good youngsters this year, Bachmann, Suljevic & Cuvlier all have the potential to make the first team in a few years time.
Kenwynne should be much better this year, despite the fact when you first look at him you'll think "Fucking hell Kenwynne is shit" his jumping and heading should make him one of the best threats up top that a club can have, his finishing is bad for a striker but I've made him more consistent, on FM11 every so often you'd see Jones stood on the edge of the box and smash it in the top corner and then he'd be getting the piss taken out of him in the air by some midget so I've made him more consistent but scaled his finishing back to compensate.

We don't? I don't have the demo downloaded yet, can you post up a screenshot of it, it may be bugged for the kit selection I made (theres several versions of the striped one, I chose one that was meant to correctly have the neck done)

I see there is a bug in there, FM still has Steve Jobs down as being alive.
The badge also looks different which I didn't set (possibly some changes have been made I hadn't realised) it'll all be fixed for the release.

I'm actually enjoying it so far. Won every game except a friendly against Santos where a really shit first half sort of killed it. Lost 1-0 but kept a clean sheet in every game except that game and the Europa League 3rd QF 1st Leg against Kalju
Scoring regularly, Karim Rossi is doing alright. Walters hasn't done anything of note, Etherington and Pennant have been excellent. Shotton is doing well. To be fair, every player is doing well, even Danny "fucking" Collins

I've seen the kit issue and loaded up the editor to check it, basically in the editor it has thicker stripes than the sunderland option, but more stripes than what it has when it gets to the game, so I'll choose the one more akin to the Sunderland kit.
The away kit is nothing at all like the one I chose in the selector though, so might be one of the Head Researchers changed it by mistake.

Also, since when are we affiliated with Barnsley? The barnsley researcher told me there was something between Pulis & the management staff at their club that meant they were one of the teams who would get first refusal on loanees from us. I was reluctant to agree but he was quite adamant about it lol. |
