Somebody put on Facebook that they feel ripped off and the game isn't worth £40. Just thought I'd throw a grenade in. I'd feel ripped off if I knew loads of others had bought it for £35 and received it on release day as well ;D What more does the bellend want? The storyline and side-missions all take ages, the world is huge, the driving physics are awesome and the characters are genuinely likeable I've played it for 60 hours and I've got it just under three quarters complete but I still feel like there's loads left to do or if I played through it again there's plenty more options I could do it I can't wait for GTA Online to kick in either. If it's good then I'll be on it most of the time so I'll be getting far more than my £35's worth

The fact that I've spent £35 on this while usually spending £40 on FIFA is amazing. Spend a fiver more on what is essentially a truly awful game that doesn't change at all each year.

I'm back on Thursday but probably won't get the time to play it till Friday night, I've told the Mrs to make sure she's out for the evening. Can someone tell me how fucking awesome it is.
Isn't Pick the one that says how said gaming is in the past? Yet here he is, asking for advice...

I can't believe how refined it is. Only played the prologue and started with Franklin thanks to jetlag, but even through my pisshole eyes, I can't quite believe how smooth and polished it is.

I know its a console game so I don't object too much but there was a cutscene on one mission getting into a truck and whilst its only a minor thing, the seats and interior basically looked like something from a PS2 game. It's only small things, but why put it in cutscene? I can understand the reasoning because 99% of the time you're not going to see the interior and if you press your right stick down to look behind its still a zoomed out view. I wish they had released it on PC and gone down a more bethesda like path. Some of the additional content designed then would be glorious.

Skyrim shows the benefits to putting it on PC and allowing a modding community to develop. I settled for downloading it anyway, no point in paying for a game that's on a substandard platform

Couldn't give a toss if Rockstar scaled back some things, for example, graphics in the interior of a car (who gives a fuck? Really?) to make the open world bigger
As a game, and the last time I checked that's exactly what it is, a game, it's magnificent

Daily reminder gta:sa is still g.o.a.t
Also gta4 modded has better graphics.
That aside its a great game but I can't wait to buy it again and play it on a proper machine in a few months.

You can see tearing/white lines at the edge of textures. It's a good game, but it doesn't live up to the hype around it and the main thing is had it been on PC and been opened up to a modding community the game would have been so much more. There's a lot of dead space that may be filled by Rockstar themselves with future DLC but you can look on youtube for videos of icenhancer and see that mod applied to GTA IV when it came out on PC gave it graphics comparable/superior to what GTA V has.

Football isn't a game, it's a sport Again, as a game, which is what it is, it's magnificent so the rest of your points are redundant as I genuinely don't care And the PC point about graphics.. of course it's going to be better, it's a PC for fuck sakes

People play computer games competitively and they're called e-sports so no matter which way you try to define it you can argue its largely the same - the medium its played through is different is all.
You did ask in the previous post though who cares, for me I like the games to be as in depth and as touched up as they can be because it does add extra things to the game. You pointed to the world being bigger, but what's the point of the world being so much bigger if there's nothing really there of note? A solid modding community would add new towns/roads & missions to the game as well as improving the graphics. For me there's a lot of unrealised potential.

PC MASTER RACE UNITE!!!!
Honestly I wouldn't mind if they didn't release it for pc (they 100% will though)
The way it plays on consoles is brilliant.
Mods would be immense though and are the reason GTA4 is still popular today.

Really? . Yep. To achieve what they have done on 7-8 year old tech is nothing short of brilliant. I expect they'll announce the PC version with the next gen versions for the superior beings.

That's my feeling, however it does back up the old "How good would it have been if PC only" argument. Imagine a world like that built for today's GPU's? We'll see what changes occur on the next gen version, after which PC gamers will still have the same valid argument due to the fact that the new consoles aren't even as powerful as today's mid range PC's.

I just can't ever use that as an argument, personally. Rightly or wrongly consoles are the core demographic so I don't think about the if's or but's. As a game it's by far the most dense environment with the most attention to detail I've ever played before. I'm sure it'd be nice to have 60fps or a few sharper textures and shadowing, but it's never taken away from my experience or enjoyment.
The only thing that can limit a game is the dev's ideas, in this case porting it to the PC will allow nothing other than the basics.
