Apart from the tranny reviewer that slated it for being misogynistic and the grumbles about the inconsistent online play, Pick's is the only negative response to the game that I've seen. It's just not like him!

Personally had more fun with SA but I did love Vice City. Ultimately this is by a country fucking mile better than any previous entries (in my opinion). Missions were a complete chore in the older games because there would be about 3 varieties of missions. On this, whilst the nature of some of the tasks might be similar, they have all been completely different from each other.
The script is fucking brilliant and the acting is superb. On each iteration the city always feels alive, this time it genuinely feels lived in. I stalked a guy that was seemingly strolling about, he went to a cafe in the afternoon, went to an apartment, got changed, went to Vespucci for a run and chilled on a bench before meeting his unfortunate death.
About the difficulty, I'd agree. Some missions are quite testing but I don't think I've died on many. The previous games were difficult for all the wrong reasons, namely the control system, aiming and horrific checkpoints. I'd say this is probably easier because they've corrected those issues and the fact that R* don't seem to make their games difficult, but it's enjoyable because it's pretty streamlined (same with RDR).
Nowhere near finishing but must have plugged in about 24-30 hours already, generally fucking about and getting sidetracked before missions. But it's damn near game of the generation for me.

I never actually got around to playing Red Dead Redemption for some reason. I might have to rectify that going of the love its getting on here.
I really enjoyed GTA5. I dunno maybe its just rose tinted glasses and all that but SA is still the one for me.
The lack of heists where you actually made cash for yourself not the bullshit Feds was a major disappointment.

(RDR) Good and easy to follow storyline, excellent protagonist (better than anything GTA has had imo), incredible scenery/map and lots of stuff to do. Hunting is brilliant, as is tying someone up, throwing them on the train tracks and waiting for them to be completely obliterated. Is there a way to do this on GTAV? |

Not sure what you know and without trying to spoil it the end mission involves them and you do quite a few missions around the end. Also agree on everything you said. It tooks me about 2 weeks to get to around 50% completition but after I did a few missions then i got really into wanting to finish it so I nailed it. Just a tip, if you want big money save off all Lesters Assassinations til the end. And with the difficulty, when you fail a checkpoint 3 times it gives you the option to skip, I only had that once throughout the whole game and it was because you had to fly through windmills and they were being cunts ;D The final mission is amazing, feels like a real ending. (I chose C). |

They've teased some more single player content for next year which should be sweet. As for now I'm going to have a look for the easter eggs, have a crack online and get more trophies. Probably end up starting again.
