Felt good so stuck an extra 2 miles onto it.
8 miles = 16 pint sunshine allowance.

Found my old jogging trainers and they still fit so I'm going to restart jogging ASAP
Any tips? Been a good five years since I last jogged properly and I'm carrying a bit more timber than what I did back then. Also nowhere near as fit but I fancy shifting the weight back off, getting back to full fitness and keeping it up
Cheers

I've been keeping up my 2 milers, well did it again after work tonight after a 9 day gap. Aim to do it 5 times a week again.
I'm trying to put a dent in the binge drinking and chain-smoking 3 times a week that I've done for about 7 years.

Jesus hates Christ, I was expecting something small like a mile to gently ease my way back in ;D I'll get back to it tomorrow I reckon

Jesus hates Christ, I was expecting something small like a mile to gently ease my way back in ;D I'll get back to it tomorrow I reckon run for half an hour at a slowish pace when that is easy keep the same pace then run for 45 minutes you basically need a 3 mile route then a 5/6 mile route 9 or 10 minute miles will kepp you fit to lose weight i find sitting on an exercise bike for an hour regulary does the trick

start with a heart rate monitor And what if I don't have a heart rate monitor or have the funds to purchase such a device? pick a basic one for less than £30 if you can stick to 30-40 minutes of running at your fat burning rate you will find it very easy

THIRTY QUID!? Remember I'm a filthy, peasant student Al ;D
I'll go for a jog tomorrow, see how far I can run first because I know I can't do three/four miles just yet. Literally done nothing in terms of running for five years and I'm just not fit at all anymore
If, say, I did a mile for a week, then the week after did two miles and so on and so forth, do you reckon that'll work?

Probably not, you might even put on weight.
