Steady 14 miles in 2 hours this morning, building up for my next marathon. I couldn't do 14 miles in a week! Just purchased a running t shirt and a water bottle though, I'll be doing sub 4 min miles any time soon if I keep this up. Can't do a jog today as I've just had afternoon muffins and I'll be sick.

10 miles yesterday, nice run round Trentham but at least half a mile through thick nettles and brambles. I've now found yet another way for running to torture me because my legs sting like a bitch today.

Knee is fucked.
Felt a twinge wast couple of times, hurt like fuck as I got out of the car tonight, tried to run it off without success, did the usual 2.4 miles in the same time but it feels like its going to snap.
This could be a premature end to my running escapades.

15 miles in 2.10 yesterday morning, it was bloody hot even starting at 07.30. last couple of miles was tough and the pace just dropped away to about 10 minute miles. Entered the Sandstone trail 'A' race in September, good training for Amsterdam marathon www.deeside-orienteering-club.org.uk/sstrail/

Out of interest do any of you ride road bikes? Looking at getting into it as running isn't an option with my knee/ankle/foot problems. (BMX years have officially caught me up)
Need some advice really on where to start.

Played a full 90 minutes of football in 25 degree heat on Monday night, and I followed it up last night with a double session of squash in a court that felt like it was over 30 degrees. Today I have the mobility of a concrete zombie.

(BMX years have officially caught me up) Need some advice really on where to start. I've just brought a hybrid to commute into work. I'm starting at a half way point and working up to 40 miles a day hopefully. Just went to Specialized bike shop in Stafford with a budget and spoke to the guys who were dead helpful.

I actually ordered a road bike today and all the gubbins, spent a rather large amount of money on it too. Do you know if the shop in stafford do proper bike fittings? Can't find anything store specific on the web.
