The arseholes that booed at half time, and the even bigger arseholes that booed when Adam was taken off - please either never go to the Brit again, or just die.
Adam was knackered, actually, he was beyond knackered, and QPR had a chance just before because Adam only had tired tackles to offer, was 100% the right decision to bring him off.
Very happy with that result. We weren't brilliant going forward, but Ryan and Huth were excellent at the back, and Wilko and Geoff were solid, especially after they switched at half time, I think Geoff on the left is the way to go while Wilson is out. N'Zonzi again was excellent and definitely deserved MOTM for me.
That goal will hopefully be a huge boost for Adam, he looked bloody chuffed when he scored it.
We could have had a couple more, and looked like lucky blocks more than great 'keeping/defending saved them a few times. Bego was only really tested once, they had a lot of possession and play in our half, but they barely threatened the goal.
Vital 3 points, which is more important than the performance, (which was nowhere near as bad as some people are making out.)

Not the greatest game of football, a bit stop start and it doesn't help that the ref couldn't tell the difference between a player slipping over on the wet turf or a foul.
There are far too many thick fuckers supporting Stoke though, some fans really haven't got a clue whats going on.

The Wilko/Cameron switch had to happen because Wilko was terrible on the left. It was nothing but improvement from that point on. I didn't understand the boooing at all on two counts 1. why boo your own players (even if it is about the manager's decisions) and 2. it was the right fricking decision!! We needed someone with a bit of bite and the ability to track back in the midfield. Our shape improved as soon as he came on. One thing that showed today is we can't play 4-5-1 with Crouch up front on his own. John Walters looked a different player when playing off Jones instead of Crouch.
Putting in perspective compared to 11 games last year we have the same points, scored one more goal (9 this time, 8 last year) and conceded 9 (yes 9!) goals less. We've turned losses into draws (lost 5 last year but won 1 more). There are improvements we could make, isn't there always?, but on the whole I'm positive and I just don't understand the constant effing moaning.

Some Stoke fans arent happy? No fucking wonder that was awful!! Its the first time since Pulis' first stint I've been so negative towards him. We were fucking awful, substitutions made no sense and how a useless Walters for the 100th game on the trot stayed on ahead of the formentioned players amazes me. Crouch will score goals, Adam scored put was dragged to the wing pre taking off & Ethers for Kightly just the same player being switched.
If we played a good team today we'd of got raped today & deserved too, how some of you are happy with today it worries me! We have a natural winger on the bench and he switches him for another winger and keeps that bag of wank on.
But now I hate Stoke, Walters & Pulis...if thats so fuck you all!; I've been given stick for praising Pulis & Walters in the past but now its beyond a joke.

Sorry Moz but if you can't take any happiness at seeing your own team win or take any positives out of today, regardless of performance, then you've got to lead a very miserable life
Today was about getting three points, performance was secondary. Our upward turn has to start somewhere and I'm hoping it was today
Would you prefer us to put in an excellent performance and lose/draw or put in a grinding performance like today and win?

Sorry but its not all about winning; even if we were off the pace and won id of said ok but for me we werent even that. If we played Sunderland today we'd of come back with 0 points; if it wasnt for them being so bad at the back it would of been a point max...and if they didnt score in the 1st half with erm...(who was it? haha) is unbelievable. Few positive I can get was N'Zonzi looked good as per, Adam got a goal, Shawcross was fantastic & Begovic did nothing pretty much. But anyone decent we'd of got hammered. & Im not tbh T4AP; because im always so pumped up & so passionate; and if I cant be that then I may aswell give up.
Am I classed as a PHW now?

There's no fucking pleasing some people is there? Answer the question: Would you prefer us to put in an excellent performance and lose/draw or put in a grinding performance like today and win? Or alternatively, go to oatcakefanzine.proboards.com. I'm sure they'll love blind negativity and bizarre anger (not passion) tonight Un-fucking-believable

Well done lads Going off Moz's OTT anger, if you didn't know the result you'd have thought we'd lost today.. Didn't really miss much Rootsy, just a good, positive step in the right direction which is nothing but good. Confidence will start to build now hopefully However, if Taarabt wasn't such a greedy fucking shite, we might've drawn

I've never booed once in hundreds of times attending stoke games, not even after the 7 goals whacking by birmingham or defeats to the usual suspects in the early rounds of the cups. I've seen some fucking shit but never booed. I've called players wankers and stuff in the heat of the moment, KAVANAGH you lazy fuck was one i can remember giving out at gillingham when it was all quiet in the crowd Suppose that is just as bad

Haha so I cant complain about a poor performance?.
Im just worried if we played a better team & keep this shit up; im glad we beat QPR because I hate them BUT if you cant moan about a poor performance etc then when will you?
Im not going be an arse everyone has their opinion; I respect everyone's opinion but some peoples (i.e. mine right now) is wrong and should be banished etc. I love Pulis & I like Walters but it just isnt working right now if a drain doesnt work will you still keep with it? Would you balls; people are saying we need new tactics; today has highlighted this but we won so lets sweep it under the rug...hmmm.

It seemed to work in that sense. 2) If we played a good team today, we'd have been raped - Not true at all. We were very good defensively. A, (very talented,) attack of Hoillett, Taraabt, Cisse, Zamora and Granero could only test Begovic once, and got very few clear cut chances. 3) Substitutions made no sense - Adam was knackered, Ethers was too, he has never had the stamina for a full 90 mins as a Pulis winger and Crouch for Jones just changed things around a bit, and Jones did well when he came on, gave them something different to worry about at the back. Whitehead did well when he came on, and Kightly was unlucky not to score. Don't really understand how they didn't make sense. 4) Walters staying on - In the last 10 mins, Walters did well down the left. He won throw ins, free-kicks and dispossessed Bosingwa. Nothing to complain about there.

There's complaining and then there's talking unadulterated, bizarrely angry arse. You're doing the latter No one here, including myself, has said it was a good performance because, it wasn't. It was still poor but it was an improvement. However, given the last two games of dross, today was a step in the right direction and if you can't notice that then you're an idiot. Or pissed up And no one has said about sweeping the tactics, or lack of them under the rug either. Again, talking pissed up, angry arse. I've never known anyone so angry at their own team taking an extremely important three points Fuck me, lighten up And answer the question: Would you prefer us to put in an excellent performance and lose/draw or put in a grinding performance like today and win?

It's not all about winning that is true. We had three good goal scoring chances today and we fortunately managed to put one of them away. QPR had a couple of decent opportunities too. It wasn't the best performance by our team but the win should hopefully give the players more confidence and as a result the next game will hopefully see an improvement. There are no bad teams or easy games in the Premier League, so we should enjoy every win and not expect to batter teams who are a few places below us in the table.
As for you Mozza being a PHW, I really hate all that PHW and Rimmer bullshit and there should be no place for it on this board. I am interested in other supporters opinions even if they are different to my own, so keep posting what you think!
