Not really a way to defend that performance I'm afraid and I can't defend the selection of Walters on the wing. Crouch is offering us nothing up front, the midfield created absolutely nothing. Not good at all. It's starting to look like it's a good job there's some really poor teams below us, cos we are really struggling at the minute.

On balance even though we played a bit better second half, they deserved the win.
I still think Jones and Walters are our best partnership up front. Jerome is best against tired defences, but we all knew that.
Crouch was bad, but if we are going to hoof it from full back, he's not the best player to hold the ball up. Crouch is a very different kind of player.
Purely frustrating today.

Absolute shite. It's embarrassing it took 90 minutes before we had a proper chance on goal. We are really bad and I now don't think we'll make the top 10, if we don't Pulis can leave for me. If West Ham had got a smash and grab win I'd have felt a bit sorry for Pulis, but they didn't, they came and played the best football for the first half and then cancelled us out in the 2nd.
I don't get why he doesn't play the team we used when went on that 10 match unbeaten spell?

So sad watching us slowly turn from the exciting, aggressive Stoke of the first two seasons, (and FA cup run,) to this dull, predictable Stoke, with no attacking threat.
We're not "treading water" or "consolidating" at the moment, we're stagnating. We are less exciting, effective and difficult to play than we were in our first season up, even though our squad is absolutely streets ahead of the one that finished 12th with the likes of Cresswell, Pugh, Griffin, Olofinjana etc. Something needs to change, and it's not necessarily the manager, but it does need to happen.

What a pile o shit that was. Seriously unsure as to get a season ticket or not next season. At the moment the games are just a chore and I can't see it changing. We are te worst team in the league at keeping the ball. Alls we do is twat it long and hope for te best.

I don't think Jerome is better against tired defences at all, it's just that 90% of the time, that's all the chance he's given, and most of his starts have come in games where we've gone for a 0-0 draw. The only trouble we caused them for most of the match today was with Jerome's pace. If he gets dropped for Newcastle, it's absolutely criminal.

Tony Pulis' football is making the decision easier. I got the same feeling of going to work today, even with a surplus of beer. I get no enthusiasm and bare minimal thrills watching Stoke anymore.

In all honesty, I think we got very hard done by, they didn't pose much threat going forward, thought Wilson had a good game keeping Carroll quite for the majority of the game, was a foul for their goal, and we should of had at least one penalty from a clear handball
Whelan was toss as was wilko
Jerome looked good, but starting him we lose his momentum he brings when he comes on, shea looked better today

That's fair enough, everyone is entitled to do what they want obvs, but if I lived close enough to be able to afford a season ticket (I had one for 10 years when I lived in the area, can't afford the petrol money from London) it would be a season ticket for me whatever the quality of football, whatever league we were in. Not criticising you though, your callk, your money!

Completely fair enough mate, it's not cheap (although we are in comparison, but you know what I mean!). You know come August though, you'll be full of renewed hope and expectation, like we are every year!

TP on flak from fans - "I suppose 2 home defeats by March is disappointing" Absolutely no need for childish, smart-arse comments like that. He knows damn well what the fans' problems are, and having an attitude like that is just uncalled for.
