TP - "Any supporter who isn't happy isn't sensible"
I never knock him, but fucking hell he does himself no favours at times...

I'm the first to fucking defend Pulis but we have a right not to be happy after today. It's fucking shit at the moment.

It's fair game having a swipe in his own home or in his office speaking to management, put you doing it in an interview is the least professional thing he can do. Not to mention a cuntish thing to do.
Way to alienate the paying customer dickhouse.

I'll give my opinions on the game in a bit, but I think after his comments tonight this is where friction between a large section of our fans will be a very large factor.
3 years ago I predicted he'll be gone by next summer (2014)...don't like to say it because he's a legend, but I think I may be right.

He's hard enough to like when things are going well. When we're shit and he's being a pigheaded cocksock it makes it nigh on impossible to like him. Being stubborn and thick skinned can be seen as a positive thing but it borders on arrogance when he's displaying it like he is at the moment. Almost as if he's hiding behind Coates flicking the V's at us.
Today was nowhere near good enough and he can pedal his "Look where we've come from" bullshit all he wants. Fact is, we've not progressed at all over the last two seasons and we're now going backwards. Shit tactics, team selections and the same tired excuses.

I swear Pulis thinks he manages TPFC, founded in 2006.

How long do you give him because of what he's done in the past? I think last season was a disappointment but we had Europe to consider. We had a weak finish last season and we had no excuses not to improve this year. As it is, we've gone out early in both cup competetions (one of those being against Sw indon!) and we've been piss poor for the last two-three months. It'd be easier if we were at least being positive but we're not. We're approaching games more negativley than ever and today's performance was just dire.

First 20 minutes of the 1st half was very much all us, however after that West Ham improved & very little changed from then.
Shotton & Jerome were the 2 bright lights today for me. Kightly & Whelan well fuck me they were awful especially Whelan (did he even do a single thing right?). Everyone else was average to poor which isn't good enough.
Jussi (I can spell his surname when I have 0% alcohol in my blood stream) had fuck all to do in large, we should of had 3 penalties from what I could see (Jerome one, I've seen triple distilled Vodka less clear than that) & the referee was piss poor all game, the Carroll nutting Reid incident (who was protected by Moss all game) was god awful refereeing, how did this tubby little turd get his qualifications?. We have the ball, he says play on, we then get into an attacking situation whistle blows to stop play & then James Collins smacks it out for our goal kick...how is that fair?
All in all, how would you like to die?
A drug, sex & alcohol binge, basically loving life; but ate by a Shark aged 45?
or
Live to be 97 who has had no life, but had stability all of your life & has had as much excitement in your life as watching paint dry on a wall?
You can guess which one is Pulis, but for me life is too short & I want go out all guns blazing & just going mental.
We all love Stoke, & most logical people will say TP is a legend; but if we do anything outside a working environment it's because we want entertaining & we're not even getting an ounce of it.
P.S. - I hope he doesnt come out saying I did end up playing the team the fans wanted & we didn't improve (or something along those lines) or I'll start kicking like a bucking fucking bronco!

I've never warmed to TP, I've always admitted it, even though I get on with most people, I think others can see it now. I wouldn't be bothered if he went tomorrow it may make me watch again, I was back home by 4 today after watching our local game, i couldn't be bothered to turn on the machine and find a stream

This is my problem. Do we really just let him go after all he's done because we have a shit season? I understand both sides of the argument and keep changing my mind. I love him and all that but as my friend here, who's been taking an interest in Stoke recently, suggested, it's a bit like with the Boston Red Sox, they were absolutely flying and their coach worked wonders for them, but then it all went a bit stale, and because they refused to change the management, they ended up fucking up and missing out on the play offs. His point was that it goes round in complete circles, you reach your peak, and then you come back down again. The peak was the spring of 2011, we're now on our downwards spiral.

It's been more than a shit season. In truth we haven't been impressive in the league since our first season up apart from one decent run a season which can last anything between 5 and 10 games. Our FA Cup run was brilliant but we had a relatively easy route to the Semi-Final and they were all games that we'd expect to win. Europe was memorable but TP shat his pants against Valencia and accepted defeat so that we could finish in the bottom half, again.
TP will always be a legend but the real thanks go to PC and his millions.

I'm pretty sure we're just having the usual Autumn/pre-Christmas shite period somewhat late this season. Everyone was jizzing (me included) about the 5th best defence in Europe and all that five minutes ago. It only really went wrong from the Chelsea game. We should remember that that period was not so long ago at all. Don't get me wrong though, things definitely do need to improve fucking sharpish but I'll still take 17th or better every season, no matter what. Chances are without TP we wouldn't achieve that and the reality is there would be very few managers of a high enough calibre to keep us in the top teir who would actually be interested in managing us should we be in the market for a new manager.

Mozza, you're so wrong about the ref. The only penalty we could have had was the handball one and that would have been soft. The guy won the ball on the Jerome one, although it should have been a corner and not a goal kick and the Crouch one was embarrassing that both he and the Boothen appealed. In real time I thought the Jerome one was a foul but O'Brien didn't touch him and he clipped the ball away.

I've not seen it on TV or anything (not having a go mind ;D) so no different views, but from where I was sitting all the incidents were in a decent shot for me, Jerome one looked like he got chopped down, handball we agree on & the softest one would of been Crouch, however if it was against us we'd of thought we were lucky to of got away with it.

This kind of thinking honestly amazes me. I could buy the 'Only somebody like Pulis could keep this team up' argument when it was Cresswell, Pericard, Dicko, Diao, Mama (god bless him) etc... but Begovic, Huth, Shawcross, N'Zonzi, Kenwyne, Crouch....? They are all very capable Premier League players who would do well at almost any club. And what makes us so unattractive that hardly any managers would be interested in the job? The multimillionaire chairman? The top class training facilities? The chance to play in front of a packed stadium every home game, and take a loyal army of fans to every away game?
