Looks like spring has sprung and boy, do I like a good lawn.
It's well documented that it's possible to gain the measure of a man by his lawn, much like judging a man by the appearance & maintenance of his formal footwear.
Anyway, lawn season has begun and so far I've
Applied feed & moss killer last week, today has seen a thorough raking, strumming & first cut of the year. It's not looking bad at all for the start of the season, Much time, elbow grease and love will be afforded in the coming weeks.
Share your lawn love here.

The foxes love my lawn more than me judging by the amount of their shit on it.
Big landscaping project for me this summer. Order a fuck load of sleepers, re-turf the back garden, bang up a shed and sort a patio out. Would much rather be off on holiday but hey ho.
Will all be worth it when I can crack the barbecue out and survey my domain.

That sounds fucking great, I might even rip my patio up, lawn up, decking up and knock fuck out the shed just so I can do it all again! Love a good outdoors diy / garden project myself.

My carefully laid lawn has not wintered well. I only have a tiny back garden and fucking lawn just turns to mud in the winter even though it gets no foot traffic. I think its a combination of crap soil and shading, but I've tried so hard with it, all for nought. Makes me weep.

Look like too much hassle them lawn things and cat's wee on them I've thought about following Jonesy's fake barbecue example and going for the fake turf type product but I don't think I could live happily knowing that I'd cheated myself from the real experience.

I refuse to remove the hedges because I know mar lady fucking hates them and the mess it makes when I cut them. It's small things like that which keep a marriage alive.

That's what I'll be purchasing to chop the sleepers up with. Plan once the garden is sorted is to fit a log burner so will come in handy for that and when the zombies attack.
Any tips on a cheap but sturdy unit?

Any tips on a cheap but sturdy unit? Can't say I'm an expert but I'd suggest getting a secondhand stihl off ebay, they're generally well maintained and serviced by the owners, lots of main dealers meaning you can always get it back up and running IF it ever goes wrong, all parts available new or used. Will hold its value too.

A well kept lawn is a joy to behold and can enhance the looks of any garden. I don't know much about gardening but I do know my lawns.

Bit too early to cut the grass yet. especially as it's cold as tits most mornings and it was snowing the other night. I've already painted the fences this year though. Rock and fucking roll.

I chopped the tree down in the garden as it was obscuring my view of the blokes over the backs wifes tits.

Actually, that's not strictly true, the wind blew it over first before I chopped it up, I miss that stupid tree.

But I do anticipate seeing the tits when the weather gets warmer, if it ever does.

I chopped down a tree (massive viney bush thing) in my garden the other day.
I can now see the sea from my kitchen :-p
