Well, it seems im not completely over whatever bug I had last week but managed 30 steady miles and grabbed a few Strava PB,s and a KOM on the way.
Rested for a week but still didn't feel good at any point of the ride today. Hope the form returns soon...

Soooooo I kind of got ran over a little bit today, bastard taxi cunt.
I'm not badly injured thank christ, few cuts and bruises and the bike needs a little attention.
Should have been more cautious and i'll learn a lot from this, a guy stopped to see if we were okay (Mate was slightly involved too) lo and behold it's a guy from work ;D
My BMX instincts returned and almost certainly saved me from more serious damage.

Good grief, hope you're OK! I learnt that a helmet is a good thing last week when I catapulted myself over my handlebars head first into a fence. That was just going very slowly up a kerb. I'm a spaz.

I've heard from a reliable source (Jammers) that my times are beating yours despite the fact you're male, younger and been running 5 years more than I have ;D (and my times are getting better...)

Get yourself over for the Nottingham Half in a month - I might run a bit quicker with you in front and Jammers behind.......

That's bad news mate, how's the bike ? It's not too bad, bent a shifter out of place and mangled the back wheel. Fixed her up though and going back out tonight at some point. Also thanks for your concerns people, it really wasn't bad at all. Still shit myself mind ;D

I would do Nottingham but I'm doing Congleton Half a week later so I'm saving myself for that. Plus I 100% guarantee Jammers will be in front of us both.

Second parkrun today with a change of tactics. Last time I went out 'quick' and got knackered but just managed to hold on for a time of 27.59.
This time I decided to start steadier and then open up in the last mile or so - worked a treat with a PB in.........
27.58
;D

Ran from Delamere forest to Beeston Castle and back today, 16 miles with plenty of hills, legs still itching and stinging from nettles 9 hours after, sore arms from running through corn and also had the pleasure of being chased by a cow

Had a mare of a 10K yesterday. Had to stop at 6K because two of my toenails had gone black. All the ambulance people could offer was "we'll put a plaster on it" which was useless so I just ran without socks. Then at 7K I had to stop to go for a wee (I didn't do a Paula, there were Portaloos) then shortly after my shoelaces came undone, twice. Without the stops I would have done an average of 8.5 min miles and I still managed to finish it in 57 minutes so I'm hoping for an under 50 at the Lichfield 10K next week. Getting faster just need to go further, considering a marathon to enter next year any recommendations for an easy beginners course?? ;D
