Someone drew a cock on the King Billy mural once....doubt was in daylight. Alex Higgins grew up there. Holiday Inn, wow, the donegal rd was a bit of a no go area. The Klondike was the pub was thinking of, some horrible going on there years ago. Some women battered a woman to death then a girl had her throat slit before someone opened fire into anoter bar. Was a hell of a place but sounds all peace and kaftans now...well not as bad theres been a big flim crew set up in a car park next to the hotel on hope street, they were there 2 weeks ago as well, maybe undercover security forces... |

I remember my cousin taking me to a place called Minnesota Fats at the height of the troubles, a Belfast pool hall full of 'In the name of the Father' lookalikes wearing flares. What a rough dive of a place daubed with graffiti and two soldiers outside. I don't even like pool and was a bit worried :-) Was about 14. Changed a bit since then. Nice enough city now. |

Just having a week off work and had a shitty cold all week, no trail running I had planned or walking in the mountains or drinking at lunchtime etc. I wont be running the Cheshire 10k tomorrow either, I'll no doubt be better for work next week, if i had malaria I could be off for ages.

wtf does that mean? Weird thing is that whislt the round whirling thing on the screen was going round waiting for the error message to come up, I had an email pop up confirming the booking and payment
