I think whichever NextGen gets the first proper MMORPG, whether it be World of Warcraft, Everquest Next, or similar, will be the one which gets the greater foothold. These games have MASSIVE player bases, and will have a huge say in which console succeeds over others.
I personally think we will see one of the games bundled at some stage with a mouse and keyboard to finally break the PC hold on MMORPG's.
Love them or hate them they carry vast numbers of online players.

I'm going to get the cheapest of the two and hope that my boys all do the same.
Half of us have got one and half the other this gen. Wank.

I was going for the xbox one, but the way they were promoting it more as a media tool put me off. I already have a Blu Ray players and internet access for You Tube, iplayer etc.
What I want from a games console is brilliant fuck off gaming and lots of it. It seems that the PS4 is more for me at the moment but time will tell. I don't think I'll get one straight away unless there's a tie in with Everquest Next for one of them. Unless that happens I'll wait and see.

The XboxOne is already on the back foot. The PS4 is cheaper, more powerful and devs are already getting more out of the system. Meaning all the multiplatform games will perform favourably on PS4, as they did on 360 this gen. Even CoD Ghosts, which has been pushed heavily as an Xbox One title is capped to 720p to get it to run at 60fps, whereas it's 1080p on PS4.
It's going to be a tough old sold for the bone I think, especially as they've shown they can't manage new IP's after leaving the 360 to die over the last 2 years whilst Sony have kept on pushing new titles and IP's through the door.
Why anyone would want a XOne is beyond me with all the shit they tried to pull at E3 and the backtracking since.

Fairly balanced assessment of the clusterfuck that is the Xbox One, I feel.

Hope everyone avoids the Xbox One on principle after all the shit they tried to pull - not being able to share games etc, even though they did a U-turn.
Definitely the PS4 for me.

PS4 all the way for me.
Microsoft had a great chance to bring in new customers, such as myself, and they full on cocked it up with, as Oners said, "the shit they tried to pull".

There's not one reason to get an Xbox over the PS4 in my opinion.

You guys are idiots, got to be the Xbox One.
You do realise that you can connect your Xbox to your TV so that you can watch TV on your TV don't you?
Why would you not spend £400 for that?

There's a bloke at work getting the Xbox One because he prefers the exclusives. I didn't know what exclusives either console had so didn't get into it but he's the only guy that I know that's planning to get one.
Looks like the new Call of Duty runs at 720p on Xbox One and 1080p on PS4. Is that 2-0?

If you want to take a look at what Microsoft will produce elusively, take a look at the last 2-3 years of the 360. A prequel of Gears of War, Forza 5 and some Kinnect shovelware. Their biggest first party publishers in Bungie have now gone multiformat.
I realise how much of a dick I sound but there isn't a single reason to get one over the PS4.

I think they've more than covered the stock levels. It won't sell out, not in this country anyway. Japan aren't getting it until next year because they've outsourced most of the units America ;D.

In fairness they do have Titanfall, which looks pretty epic.

Which does absolutely nothing for me personally. Remember watching the E3 showing with quite an open mind but it just looks to me like CoD with Mech's and Halo style jumping about. I quite like the look of Forza (will be getting GT6) and to a lesser extent, Dead Rising 3.

I don't care about which console is better, the only thing that matters in this is which economy we're more afraid of. As a God fearing American (well, I click on the American flag when asked which language I speak; same thing), Japan is supposed to be our bitch! I'm not driving my Chevrolet to Walmart to pick up a fucking Japbox, they might save up enough money to nuke us!

Bit of a gimmick but if you've got kids or family it's pretty fun to wheel out every now and again for them, especially over Christmas.
