just been to the gym for a class, just before it started a lovely young lass plonked herself in front of me, perfect body and skin tight type of gym cycling shorts on, doing the cat stretch and downward dog, you could see everyting in detail, I need to 'rethink' it, but all the kids are at home

must dust the bicycle off in the coming days. Is this a euphemism for wanting off the Missus?

Does having an election make pilates more difficult?

Signed up for the Sheffield half. Done my first 10k of the year tonight. It was fucking freezing, fucking pissing it down and blowing a Dwight fucking Gayle. My nipples are bleeding and it really hurts! Pretty much half way through dry January although I doubt I’ll bother drinking through Feb as well. Gonna do February as a Vegan month see what the bullshit is all about.

I may be doing the manchester marathon that day if the Mrs doesn't let me do the Copenhagen marathon I’ll be lucky to get a half done. No chance I’ll ever go near a full marathon!

Northy can you recommend any good running trainers/shorts or good places to shop for them? make sure you go somewhere that will do a gait analysis when buying your first trainers, they video you on the running machine and see what pronation you have and different trainers support different type of landing techniques and how your foot rolls, also for difefrent types of running that you want, short distance, long distance etc. I've used 'up and running' in chester (other branches about) and running bear in alderley Edge, have heard that running-form in Burton is good as well, although I haven't been there.. all do good running gear. I know which type of trainers are good for me so tend to use them now, Asics 2000, good support for over pronating especially for the longer runs, i did 16 miles on Sunday morning and all was fine. upandrunning.co.uk/chesterwww.runningbear.co.uk/www.running-form.co.uk/about-us/

I've got a place in the great north run in September via the ballot, I'm also in the great south run in October, which isn't as great as the great north run as it's 3 miles less, so even in running races the north is greater than the south.

I'm running the London marathon in October for the charity Autistica Is it possible to cheat and get the tube? I'm not sure I am capable of running anymore. I can walk miles with no major effort and jogging short distances is ok. Played 5-a-side football a few weeks ago and tried to sprint back to thwart a counter attack and my legs just gave way and I fell over quicker than Mo Salah does in the opposition penalty area. Fortunately the player with the ball was too busy pissing himself laughing that he spooned his shot high and wide but I'm never going to try running again!
