Plus. Water purification tablets (0asis as per MOD) Means of defence & killing food, air rifle / shotgun. Selection of knives, saws, axes too. Fire steel & kindling Paracord First aid & medication. Cooking implements. Clothing & shelter. Torches, batteries and radio. Not that I've considered it Bleach will do for water purification as well as decontamination, all the knives axes and tools you should have, just get them out of the shed, shortty is good if you have one, trapping with wire or fishing likely to be better for food, para cord good, radio and torches hand crank if poss, but you forgot large scale local maps, and the ability to move out if you have to ie fuel, planned route, bergens etc I'm gonna bug out in mow cop castle and get tamed rooks to hunt vermin for me, but don't tell anyone. Out of curiosity, what % or ppm will household bleach purify water at a safe level to drink?

Now cop no good! No food or water, no escape route and you need people to defend it, depending on where you live you would be better bugging in

I'm half serious campers.
I have a selection of gear put aside but I won't bore you.
Another curios point whist I have you attention, I see on the news that whenever there is an outbreak in Asia or wherever they all trudge round in dust masks.
I have a basic grasp of biology and a sound grounding in H&S.
Aren't these masks they wear just FFP3? Ie particulate filters, won't they do fuck all or will particulate filters protect against viruses 'n ting?
Also, Are you a bit of a "prepper"?

I'm ex mil and I've dusted my kit off, the masks are less useful for particulate filtering but more for preventing you from putting your hands in your mouth after touching contaminated stuff, on average you do it 3 times a minute

What, like all the time? Why on earth? Wouldn't you notice that and, well, stop?

That's why they bang on about washing your hands a lot

Looks looked it's settling down after introducing some containment measures, including banning the eating of bats! link
