I've got full on tonsillitis and I'm sure the Ebola virus ain't got a patch on this shit.
My body has shut down, I haven't ate, shat or drank properly in says.
I'm in constant all over pain and my tonsils look like they have cancer.

Sky news a desperately trying to hype this up now even saying it was unprecedented of all things. Looks like they don't even know what means anymore.
Nothing of note has happened yet and they virus is a joke as it is easily contained and actually very fragile. Basically don't eat a batburger whilst next to an ebola ridden rotting corpse and then go to work at the village medical facility in blood and excrement covered clothes. Pretty much ebola will be contained then.
Also lol Africa

He's basically right, but its always worth keeping an eye on. Easily contained in remote, sparsely populated areas. A different matter in a densely packed modern city with excellent means of people moving freely over large areas I'm guessing?

You are indeed correct as well Jonesey. The fact that the virus is now in a large populace city with poor healthcare gives it the potential to spread more rapidly, but it is still dependent on close contact to spread. However, an other issue is that the virus itself could come into contact with other disease vectors, such as rats, and also other viruses such as flu. This increases the chance of a chance mutation that could mean the transfer of characteristics such as becoming airbourne. The other issue that when it is a population centre, peoople tend to panic more and leave the area, possibly carrying the virus. Added in the air and sea links, the issue becomes more complex. Its unlikely to lead to naything like a pandemic but in the 20-odd years Ive been "following" diseases like Marburg and Ebola, this looks like it could be the potentially most significant outbreak, based on the limited information I have.

I don't know why we don't breed big fuck off rats with Bubonic Plague and just airdrop crateloads of them onto the dirty bastards. The lot would be dead nice and quick, then we could just nuke, napalm, or neutron bomb the rats to clear it up.

The cats could then be rounded up with the lure of a giant ball of wool.
